2023 Resolution: Shopping my Own Bags and SLG Collection

A long standing tradition in this thread is to remind ourselves of how wonderful our own collections are by showcasing them. We can see how far we have come, collection wise, and we reminded that we have all (or most of) what we need making it easier to shop our own closets.

• New theme weeks start each Sunday

• Don’t jump ahead but, if you miss a week, please do show your bags “late”.

• Show bags individually or in a group

• You do NOT have to wear the bags that week

• For added fun, show old pictures from previous years to demonstrate how you have curated it over time.

• This is completely voluntary. There is no pressure to post at any time.

So what are the showcases? In the Fall, we group our bags by makers! Feel free to show bags, small leather goods, or however it is easiest to organize!

I just discovered this thread recently. Although I did not start the year with this specific resolution in mind, I have not made any purchases so far. These are my Gucci bags:

Boston bag in GG crystal
Hobo in lavender guccissima
Small treasure bag in guccissima
Pochette in suede

I still remember getting the treasure bag, not for the small bag trend, but it was the most affordable in that line. Coincidentally it became trendy a decade later.

I love the Guccisima print and your lavender hobo is gorgeous. Totally my style and color, and love the hardware.

For this week, I have one Gucci, the medium Aphrodite

I don't like most Godard :dog: but I have enough Gucci to make you sick of me.

I'll post some now and pace myself through the week.

L>R and down
MTO 1990s lizard 'Padlock' (it was called the Gucci "Kelly' when it was ordered). Belt is Gucci but not the scarf.
'00s Black Jockey Boston - I have worn this bag a ton.
1983 Gucci GAC Boston
'00s brown leather Half-moon hobo with Bamboo detail and Web-stripe (I need to dig this out with these types of bags having a revival) and original size brown suede Half-moon hobo and Web-stripe (the strap reverses to plain leather)
1990s patent leather and suede-insert BTH basket. This bag was a fortune when new. Scarf also Gucci (Bamboo handles)
1990s black boar-skin Horseshoe shoulder bag, in front of 2009 Gucci Leather Hearts Boston, 2008 Prussian Blue Babushka studded Boston, a work of art but as heavy as it looks. You can also just see a 1976 lreather pouch clutch with enamelled hardware (behind the silver Bal)
2010 brown polished calf, crocodile and pony Gucci Secret
2007 black patent Gucci Mirage clutch (foreground isn't Gucci) shoes also Gucci.
1969 black patent 'Kelly' with lapis hardware
2015 orange nubuck Soho Disco

Love the variety of colors and really like the padlock (almost bought this one myself a couple years ago). What are the dimensions? I ended up getting a pre-loved black and white one but when it arrived, it was much bigger than I had expected and as a result, I still haven't used it.
