I spent a good part of the past few weeks trying to get a small ring agenda. Initially the DE and DA prints read “notify me” they now say “unavailable”. I searched for availability in stores and with effort was able to secure one. That store now reads “out of stock” so I assume it was the last one. The number of stores with availability has shrunk. This may be due to the new year. But the change from “notify me” to “unavailable” is concerning!

Oh, you're one of those who looks to see if something is available AFTER you purchase it. ME TOO.
Remember how difficult it was for you to locate your agenda? I was going to tell you to go for the monogram print in case DA wasn't available. Periodically I check to see if certain popular items are available, just to see and LV really controls its stock and create a hype for certain bags. Then you wait and wait, and in time they impose another price increase! They can really manipulate a customer psychology to pay for things.
So if they want canvas to become a smaller part of their margins and leather a bigger part, they will make it work in time. Design and marketing has created a plethora of non-monogram items for consumption in 2023, it's really incredible.
In the meantime, I think Fashionphile will make a killing before the majority of ppl adapt to leather altogether.
So if any item says unavailable on an LV website rather than out of stock does that mean it’s being discontinued? I’ve bought a couple of perfume samples on eBay to try and 2 of the travel refills I’ve bought samples for are saying unavailable. If so are they in the process of phasing out the travel perfumes for women? There are more Mens it’s seems than women’s fragrances in the travel collection.
Its an interesting situation. Personally the LV classic canvas doesn't appeal to me anyways as you always see so many fakes being carried about. I prefer to go for the seasonal pieces.

I’m so in love with the new Boulogne, I’m praying that they bring it out in DE or DA, and that I can buy one online. My local store is 3 hours drive away, and seems to have become smaller with less stock available and virtually no choice. To be fair they were pushing the reverse mono in SLG’s, rather than the leather. However, it was mainly leather bags they had on display.
Last night, I ordered it online - one monogram and one in DE - for in store delivery. I’ll just keep one upon inspection, e.g., MIF, symmetry, etc.

I don’t believe they’re phasing out canvas completely. They’ve come out with quite a few new bags in canvas over the last year, and have more coming in the next year. What I can believe is continuing the trend of releasing updated versions with a twist (like the braided handles) for a premium. I can see them eventually trying to align the canvas prices with leather prices. I just went on the app and the majority of bags in canvas are ATB right now.
Not to mention they have serious competition when it comes to leather. There are a lot of luxury brands putting out better often more affordable leather bags.
I wasn’t impressed with my LockMe Go tote having the color fade on the corners. At that price point, the leather should be dyed all the way through!

I got a “starter” bag for the holidays and I am excited to use it. I wanted a lightweight canvas shoulder bag because I am having back problems. The Graceful PM is a great basic!

I think that if you have to work that hard to keep a bag looking good, it’s not worth it. Geez! My Coach USA bags were way better quality. Can’t speak for Coach now.
At the same price point, other brands have better quality leather. It will be a shame for them to phase out canvas altogether.
