2022 Marshmallow Sunset Kaki, Thoughts

Looked but couldn’t find any reviews of the Sunset Marshmallow 2022. I was obsessed with this bag but am going to return it. The colors are gorgeous! It’s also MIF. I like how the handle pivots down so the bag can be worn crossbody. Now here’s why I’m returning: There’s a strong chemical smell, I mean, I’ve never smelled anything like it from LV. Also, whoever made the bag scratched the hardware and also left some random marks on the shiny printed parts. Lastly, the zipper isn’t smooth. I don’t think the 2022 shiny embossed LV pattern will be durable for daily use. I’m guessing last year’s leather version was superior. Despite all this, for some reason, (I have no idea why) it is still tempting to keep this bag! Anyway, hope this helps whoever’s on the fence! If you choose to purchase, or pass, either way, I understand!

Hmm, not a fan of that raw cut edge on both sizes of the zipper down into the ends of the bag. Feels unfinished . There isn't any coating/sealant or burnishing of the edges.

Good for you on returning it! Only get what satisfies you!

I love this bag so much! However I just noticed that this year, the bag is in canvas vs the one in the by the pool collection was in leather?

The bag is GORGEOUS but I completely agree with your concerns and decision.
The kirigami set delivered today also had a strong chemical odor, also made in France, and also going back. Hopefully the sunset kaki marshmallow I ordered won’t have a strong smell. However, I am having concerns about the durability of the glued on logos. Texas heat melts EVERYTHING

I saw this bag on Saturday. i really liked it but I don’t remember if I tried the zipper. The marks on the LV would make me return but the other issues wouldn’t bother me. I remember when the canvas world tour collection came out and my alma and NF had a strong chemical smell. I actually returned the alma but rebought it ….I still have both items, I’ll have to check if the smell is still there….

Beautiful bag but I completely get why it’s going back!!!
I checked out the Kirigami in the store this weekend and I mentioned to my CA that it had a really “odd odor” so that’s interesting to see that some other pieces had it also. I passed on the Kirigami because of the odor and I didn’t enjoy how stiff they were. The colors in the collection as so beautiful though.
