2018 resolution - shopping my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

I just checked eBay. I have 4 bags in my watch list. I know I would buy at least 2 if it weren’t for this thread. None are ones I need to get. None are ones I adore. They are all just good deals on good bad which is my weakness.

I’m going to “out” myself here because I’m tempted and you ladies can pound me if I try to buy one. LOL!

• Gucci Stirrup top handle (ivory) - I LOVE these bags but struggle to wear the burgundy one I have. I also struggle to wear my ivory Chanel. I’d bet the combo of ivory and Stirrup would never get worn. So, while this is a gorgeous bag, I DO NOT need to buy it.

• Gucci Miss GG (?) brown hobo - I love Gucci bags and I’m loving my JC hobo. But I don’t need another hobo. And, I don’t wear brown. So this would be another terrible buy.

• Gucci 1970 white hobo - A couple years ago I wanted this bag in black. White is not black. LOL! And, no more hobos!

• Chanel red lamb camera bag - This would be a good add if it wasn’t in so so condition. I don’t want to refurbish any bags. New or like new only. Plus I’m not sure this is the little red bag I want to add. It has ghw. I’ve been thinking of a red LV LockMe II BB because I like my black so much and it has shw.

Ok, ladies. Thanks the list. If I buy one of these let the pounding begin. And please feel free to pile on your opinions as to why I don’t need ANY of these almost, not quite right for me bags. LOL!

It’s interesting to see the history of their offers until it becomes not auto-rejected. I always wonder if they’re wanting a bargain or they want more margins to flip the item. [emoji848]

The technology is a rare one. Few doctors do it and fewer are expert. So since I was going to be in the state that weekend anyway, it made sense to just let my original surgeon fix it. Although, I did try to find a local solution. I went to the local doctor that was supposed to be leading edge and he didn’t even know what he was looking at. I can’t see out of my eye, it’s blood red and painful so I’m not wasting any more time or risking an also ran doing the surgery. Better safe than sorry!

Best of luck with it, spark. It sounds just awful, and I don't blame you at all for wanting to go back to the original surgeon.

Yay for get well bags!

I’m so tired from all the things that have been going on that I don’t know I even want to seriously look for a bag right now. I just need the world to slooooooow down. LOL! I told family and friends that since I’ll be a one eyed pirate with a limp that anything I show up to (other than the party) needs to be casual. I just don’t have it in me to dress up.

Would it be terrible if I show up everywhere in my blankie and try to call it a sarong??

How about a real sarong. It is summer there now too.

Skip all of these and the next time you go to LV Check out the lock me in person in the color you want and go from there. If it is not love move on. Though I think it might be.

Was hit by a drunk driver in my new car. I am lucky that is all that was injured. Dh is knee was hurt but not bad.

Oh, no! How awful! What are the police doing to the drunk driver? Jail time, I hope? Or is that too much to ask?
I've never had cracked ribs, but I've heard that it's very painful because there's really nothing you can do other than force yourself to cough & take deep breaths (which you don't want to do because, ouch!) and wait for the ribs to heal themselves.
Hope you & DH mend quickly.
And I guess now you're shopping for a new car?

You aren’t the only one . The Mz carmine bags went on sale but the one I wanted wasn’t there so I ordered the coco in gold. Now I need to pick up some sandals with gold hardware.

My LV Montaigne BB in what was supposed to be a LE color: Marine Rouge. I jumped to get this at the end of 2016, because my SA said it was a limited edition, but it's still up on the LV site.
I do love the bag, but I feel a little bit... I don't know... "cheated" isn't exactly the right word, but I don't know what is. It's just that I thought I was getting something super-duper-special, and here it is 18 months later, and still available.
Which I realize is pretty silly of me, since I live out here in non-fashion-land, and I'm positive I'm the only one in a 100-mile radius who ownes a Montaigne BB at all, let alone in this color, so why am I obsessing?
Anyway, it's a pretty bag, and a perfect size/weight.

Well the good news is they are just severely bruised. But you are right they will take about four weeks to heal and the deep breaths that you have to do hurt like he—. Hope is going well for you now.

I have seen them!! Mostly the Neverfull and the Pochette Metis.

The gold lettering really ruined it. I could’ve gotten some of the landscape ones but I hated the gold lettering. And the story thing in the inside. Just too much.

And then the charm wasn’t even ballon dog! It was the rabbit!

At least on the scarf it was his squiggle signature which is hidden when you fold the scarf haha.

So my friend says it’s a painting/screen print on their signature canvas bags.

I know most people hate signature bags, but I like some of them! Obviously, as I love LV.

They had a mock up of one in my invite, a unicorn and my initials.

If it’s a dinosaur and my initials I will be sold. [emoji85]

And I hear rumors of Coach NASA for the outlets next month. The ban will break again, if the rumor is true.

Haha, under -the-influence of too many scarf-dresses?! (HMMMM...) actually i am too. A few days ago, I broke down & brought home a bunch of scarf-like flowy dress/covers. I couldn't decide what exactly they were- but I liked them!!! (And returnable in case I was going through a 'thing'...)

Ribs?!!!? Did you crack some?! Last yr i coughed too hard and bruised a rib- apparently that's a thing!!! It hurt SO MUCH FOR WEEKS ON, and I could barely move/breathe/laugh/cough/sleep without major pain. I really hope it's not that--- it was just awful. Wishing you both really speedy recoveries!

I know how you feel. Marine rouge was supposedly sold out left and right, so I paid a little extra getting my Pochette Cles.

Still around on display here and there.

But here, where LV runs rampant, I’ve only seen one other Montaigne in Marine Rouge. So you still have a special bag! [emoji4]

LOL! I just packed a bunch of breezy sundresses in just about the same style only different colors with 1 pr. silver sparkly flat sandals and 1 pr. black and silver strappy heels. Other than jewelry, undies and workout clothes that is all I have for the cause. LOL! I am taking my black Fendi BTW, black LV LM II BB and silver Dior. That’s super light for me for 8 days. I may buy a bag at home if I feel up to shopping and see something I adore. Trying to avoid the grumps.

Good advice! I saw it in person and have never been able to stop thinking about it. LOL! I love the leather on this bag. I just conditioned mine for the trip. I’ve been remiss on bag maintenance the past few months with everything going on.

I completely understand how you feel. A large part of why we buy our bags is emotional / psychological. Otherwise we’d just put our things is serviceable sacks.

Just know it is a gorgeous bag so it’s still special.

I’m glad they are just bruised and not cracked. Gosh with the painful breaths you sooooo deserve a new bag!
