So this bag has all kinds of hidden features!! There is the snap key tab on the inside for your keys and the pocket on the outside back is neat!! At first I unzipped it and tried to put my Galaxy S5 with a slim case in it...no good. Then something caught my eye, there is a slip pocket behind it you can put your phone in and then I flipped out because I thought my bag was damaged!!! I thought there was a cut in the leather, but in fact it is a card pocket!!! It is directly on the back side of the bag in the slip pocket, perfect for card passes. It is like that whole little area is meant for easy access without opening the bag: a secure zip pocket for cash and coins, a slip pocket for your phone, and a card pocket for a transportation pass!!

Yeah it's a great bag! I like that back pocket a lot. I like to put my phone in the slip pocket instead of the zip one even though my phone fits in both places. Looking forward to seeing your reveal.

I'm pretty sure it's the Eggplant (the LOL bag)... it's shown on the Coach website. I would have expected Eggplant to be a darker shade, but apparently not so.

I was in San Francisco shopping yesterday - Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom - and this seems to be the "it color" for fall. Lots of muted, dusty lilac shades - from numerous designers.

I like the muted shade! I really think it looks nice on the saddle bag shape too!

I wish they were in more stores so I could see all the colors. I ordered the small in Black/Oxblood but I can't help thinking I might rather have the Bordeaux or the Tabac instead....

I totally agree! I am going to order the Bordeaux but I wish I could see the other colors in person.

Any idea when they'll start trickling into stores?

From what I understand all the outside colors of this run are all colors the original bag came in. That is why the hangtag has the color name on it.
I find that hard to believe. Back in the 80s there was something called the original 10 colors. I would be willing to bet quite a bit that there weren't colors back then called wildflower, dahlia, canary, flax, cornflower etc. One of things we are always saying when we authenticate is that if you find a vintage bag in bubble gum pink (other than Bonnie Cashins), it is either fake or has been redyed. The color names Coach used originally were straightforward like red, black, navy... The only color names I recognize are tabac, mahogany and black. Back then the wine color was called burgundy, not oxblood or bordeaux. I'm surprised there isn't a British tan since that has always been one of Coach's most popular colors.

Yeah a British Tan would have been really nice. I bet it would have sold well too.

Well, CS has not had a grand track record for their knowledge. When I ordered over the phone that is what she told me. She also told me that the hang tag with the color on it was a swatch of leather from an original bag. Now I know that is farfetched!!
