They look perfect, no way can you return the oxblood - vintage hard to find color. Just bought some ballet woven slippers in oxblood and they really need a buddy.
Nothing slows you down TLO:heart::heart::heart:

Hey hopi!! How are you?

Thanks for the advise. That is exactly what I tell myself about the oxblood. But I have a good angel and bad angel sitting on my shoulders. Don't know which will win!!!!! LOL

My two new babies. 75th Anniversary Limited Edition and Whiplash.

What size is the black? Congrats on your beautiful bags!

Thanks! As far as I know, this style only comes in one size. I believe it is a department store exclusive. The dimensions are 11 1/2" (L) x 8 3/4" (H) x 4 1/4" (W).

OK, now I'm super confused. Your photo makes the black one look considerably larger than the whiplash...is it? Is the whiplash style #38219?

Thanks for that Bloomies link! Very helpful indeed!

Now, looking at the ones on the Macy's site, it appears it's fabric lined?? Is your black fabric lined?

It's probably just the angle of that photo. They are pretty close in size; the black is maybe 1/2" wider across. It is also more structured so may appear larger than the slouchier Whiplash.

Whiplash: 11" (L) x 9 3/4" (H) x 3 1/4" (W)
75th Anniversary: 11 1/2" (L) x 8 3/4" (H) x 4 1/4" (W)

I need help! Absolutely in love with the saddle bag 23, but I'm totally torn between the Saddle with Carmine lining and the Beechwood with Rust lining. I've been agonising over pics of both and just can't decide. Would love some quick opinions on which colour is more striking/will have more longevity/go with more etc. I wear mainly neutral coloured clothing in (blacks, whites, greys, pastels or beige).
I originally set out to get a tan coloured bag to use when I wear tan coloured sandals, but I think I prefer the colour of the lining in the beechwood bag, which is really throwing me. Aaaargghhh.
Any help will be much appreciated!!!

My first instinct is to say the saddle with carmine. I was so tempted to get the skinny tote in the same color combo. He tan is a really pretty warm neutral and the carmine is a gorgeous bright pop of color.

However, while I have not seen the beechwood/rust saddle, I do like the beechwood color very much. When I see it though I think of it as one of those colors I need to be more careful with. It's very pretty, but light. Good luck deciding. I often have the same dilemmas.

I think the saddle would be a safer bet because the beechwood seems lighter and might get dirty more easily (or more grungy looking with age). But I agree that I also like the beechwood lining color better. I have the tabac saddle bag (in the next bigger size) -- I don't usually do brown bags but liked the look of this color. However, the beechwood might look better with your pastel clothes. Sorry I am not helping. But you can't really go wrong with either.

Thanks, I think you're right! The beechwood IS pretty, but the tan will be more durable and I want this bag for casual daytime use. I need to remember that my original plan was to get a tan bag and not allow myself to become distracted from that!
