I saw what I want on lord and taylors online. Coach taylor tote in oxblood or black pebbled leather. I saw one in bronze at my Macys before it sold out there. It is nice and light with a long enough strap drop ,but I don't know what their oxblood looks like in real life and no one is answering my question in that forum. It has a zip top so with all the snow we have been getting it would be a great knock about bag. Sorry forgot the new word we were using for it.Ooh! Can't wait to see!!!
Good job! The hardest thing to do is to walk away from the "almost" bags.
Do you have a specific description in your head or a note for what you want in this tote? I try to get very specific on my must have specifications (material, measurements, color, closure, etc) and put them in an Evernote when I'm hunting a bag. I used to do this to help me buy. Now it's actually the best tool to keep me from buying. Very often it helps eliminate the almost good enough because one or more things aren't quite right.
Side note - I think totes are the hardest type of bag to buy because they really have to function perfectly. A handbag can often get away with "gorgeous" and 90% functionality. But a tote has to nail functionality from strap drop to interior organization to weight.
