I chose an easy goal so yes I did it. My goal was not to exceed the space allotted for my bags and no squeezing bags together. I should have made a harder goal. This time I actually wrote down each month ins and outs so I can see all the crazy decisions. As much as I hate to admit it serious sales still affect me. This months bags that are coming in I have been eyeing for months but did not want to pay full price but then when they weren't full price I jumped. When I think of all the bags I bought this year I could have bought more then one premier bag. With the exception of the one I will get at christmas I can say I used all my bags this year.

I would have never guessed 24 came in for you. You did a really good job sliding them in and I remember some real beauties too. If I recall some were picked up at a steal so does that count as being extremely cost efficient? So extra points there? As long as you really like them and you did home some of your other bags too. I don't even remember my goal so I am not doing that well either. I think I may have only gifted one wallet and can't remember anything else going out. Really need to work on that myself.
I also didn't think I got that many!! So an average of about 2 per month. And yes, some I got for really very good deals (probably the reason why the number went this high)!! If you're not ready to let go, it's fine, the right time will come. :smile1:

Next year then for a harder goal. 'Harder' is relative. :smile1: If I didn't list down my purchases in a notebook, I would not realize that my number reached 24 for 2015! You used all your bags so I think that's a good thing! I can also relate with buying what I previously resisted because of great bargains!

Are you wishing for anything still this year and if so what? I still wish for a Mulberry small satchel but I won't get it because it is too close in style to my m0851. My non bag wish is for someone else to get my families clutter cleaned up and removed.

bag wish - i think I want a new wallet.

Non-bag wish - can I have the same wish as yours? ;)

Maybe you can pick something up during your trip? Or maybe not. :smile1: At times I also welcome my busy days because those get my mind off bags.

Oh, so the wedding is this weekend. What bag will you use? Your Dior is so pretty!! I'm glad you're using her more and more.

.

I ended up using Miss Dior for the morning celebration and just carry my cellphone for the night. :) I walked so much I'm getting rid of all my high heels from now on. I think I'm too old for them. :)

I may pick up something from the trip. ;) I really want a new wallet so I may check some out during the trip. :) But definitely no bags. On another note, after the wedding is done, my need to shop for a bag kind of simmer down a bit. :) I think it's a good sign. ;)

A quick picture of Mz Wallace Clove Kara and a hedgehog because Tuuli likes them.[emoji6]

I like the color. Such an interesting one.

Set up the tree and still carrying my PM for the week!

I have to take out the tree so DD can decorate it, too. Tomorrow night should be good.

Hi, ladies! Just dropped in to see how everyone is doing. I sooo miss the interaction with all of you. :( I hope everyone is doing well on a personal level and in our beloved purse closets :). I have been away and behind on this thread for at least a month easy. Just scanned the last few pages and see that bags are going to new homes, oldies and goodies have come out to play, new bags/purchases are in route or recently acquired, and resistance is being displayed while fighting the urge to shop. Ahh...the struggles of an addict...I know that all too well myself.

I have been super busy and my shopping has been in control (somewhat). No bags, but I have been to our local craft store (that's Michaels for those in the U.S.) picking up supplies to pimp my new Kate Spade planner (stickers, washi tape (just discovered this amazing tape), sticker flags, laminator, foil, etc.). It's so cool and addicting to collect lots of washi. It's still amazing how I can spend more than anticipated when buying things that are a few dollars here and there. It all adds up so quickly. Sorry for sidetracking...

So, I resisted black Friday and all holiday sales so far. This is really amazing for me :) I also have NO wants this year for Christmas, which is REALLY amazing for me!! I hope I can keep this no want vibe going.

At the moment, I am carrying my speedy b in DE. I haven't been in the mood to change out of it. It's just so easy and carefree. I think it's been in rotation for a couple of months. I hope everyone is well and have a wonderful week!!! Miss everyone...

Glad to hear from you! :) I love those washi tape, too! Such a cute way to decorate and give character to stuff. I like your planner. I'm thinking I might get one, too. :) Please show it here sometimes. I love to see the decorated ones. ;)

Wow, I can't believe we're going to be wrapping up the year soon. How did everyone do for their resolutions and goals this year? My main goal was to not purchase anything and also try to use the bags I didn't use in 2014 to see whether I would be letting them go. I did make it through some of them but mostly I've been focusing on using what I need, when I need it - it's worked out well so far but there are still some items I haven't had a chance to use yet. There's still a few weeks until the end of the year, so I'm going to work their way in - this time of year will let me use more of my clutches, which has been the biggest category of unused items, and it makes sense. Except for the bag pack last week(which I've been using a lot already) I did not purchase any bags or wallets this year! HURRAY!!!! My FIRST successful year after YEARS of trying - I'm so proud of my self haha, I can't believe it. Thanks everyone for helping me stay on track!

Congrats on achieving your goal! I went over mine a bit. I wanted to limit my bag buy to only 2, but I bought 3. I did get rid of some though, but still have at least 3 on the chopping block waiting for some adoption. :) I didn't keep track of how many I let go, but I'm sure it's more than 8 since I remember after the exercise was done, there was a month that I was able to push 8 bags out the door. :D I think I'm doing ok this year. I think I did more than I imagine I could. And I even break out some bags I rarely wear and maybe won't wear if I acted the way I used to be. But I finally did it and I'm so happy. Thanks to everyone here that've been such a great cheerleader and offer good ideas.

Burberry sale hit.

There's two twillys I must have, they're twilly versions of the London square scarf I have. Need.

I am also buying my Mom a gift at the party, a matching wallet for her PM.

So I'm still buying but not for me.

As far as my goal, I did rotate more frequently, I lowered to cost per wear of many things.
I did not go a full quarter without shopping, but I have gone at least 3 months without an addition. It just wasn't consecutive.
I also didn't just buy one bag. Oops. Also didn't use all my bag charms/keychains/twillys.

Hoping December stays a 0 in (mostly because I only count SLGs/Handbags haha).

The wedding is done and I'm so happy. It went beautifully and wow! I never think I'd be stressed over it until it's passed and I feel like my need to buy subside. I did go shopping today and blew off some steam with clothes shopping though. Nothing fancy. Just t-shirts and thin sweaters. We're far too hot to wear sweater and outer wear, but I just love them. And I wear them often, too. :)

I'm still with Miss Dior and the longer I use it, the more I fall in love with. I think the way I only carry a few fits the bag nicely. The only regret I have is that I won't be able to carry a book in my bag, just in case. Other than that, it's more than fine. :)

Here's she at the park this afternoon.

I think the color gets a bit darker now. Patina? Or just dirt? I really think the bag's getting some serious character now. :)

Gorgeous! That chain does seem uncomfortable though. How is it?

It is so nice to see such a beautiful bag really getting worn and not just sitting in the closet.

It's not the most comfortable chain out there, but after a while I get used to it. It's not a big deal and since I always wear sleeves, it's hardly noticeable. I find it gives more grip to the bag when I carry which is a plus for me coz my shoulders slope a lot. I don't think it suits the sleeveless wearers though. It maybe too painful for them. It has a great solid weight to it which I find very neat. Compare to a reissue chain, it has better weight (more solid, heavier in a good way) than the reissue chain, less comfortable, but never leaves a mark on my skin and has better grip. Reissue sometimes leaves a mark on me, but maybe I carried too much at the time.

Thank you. :) I'm so happy with my decision and seriously, I find myself loving it more than I thought!

This year has been great to me. Although, I went over board on the 2-bags-a-year goal, (I got 3.) the third purchase which is a black mini bag is so worth it. I use it more often than my previous mini bags that I bought and I love every minute of those.
To look back, this year is the best in term of bag buying for me since I'm here. I got a bag that I thought got away from me years ago. I got a black bag in the style that I love, in a material that's new to me and open my eye to the new level, and a mini bag that inspire me to cut down stuff I carry even more. I think now my shoulders love me. :D Not to mention I got rid of more bags I thought I could ever do.
Thanks to you all for being an inspiration on changing bags and rotating them, I discover a new love to my existing bag and find myself very happy for that. :)
Joining this thread is the best thing I did on TPF and you all make it even better so. Thanks for being such an inspiration for me this year. :)

Hi Lou! I hope you and the family are well this season. Did you have a great time in Vegas (sans kiddos)? Sorry if I missed it if you already posted about your trip. Trying to keep myself busy with new hobbies. Lol.

We had a fabulous time! Ate tons of amazing food. DH bought me two Gucci shoulder bags for my birthday since he thought I didn't have really any. Also saw the Britney Spears show. So much fun!!! It was so nice to get away without kids. So freeing! Thanks for asking.

Everyone. It. Happened.

Story coming. Reveal to come.

Dying!!! I saw this on Instagram and flew over here!!!!!

So I went to the Christmas party at LV, bought my Mom her Christmas present (zippy compact NM) and DBF bought his planner. I was good and refrained.

So we decided to wander around the mall, I bought my Burberry London twillys.

DBF suggested checking out Hermes to see if they had the rose gold bracelet I was eyeing.

I walked past this bag, but when I stopped to eye a beautiful Kelly wallet, I looked up and there she was.

After trying it on, I said "I'll take it."

The SA replied "there's a brand new one in the back. I'll wrap it up for you. Would you like a twilly to go with it?"

Hermes herbag zip 31 in etoupe/ebene.

DBF said it was better to buy it here, because there is always the possibility I wouldn't be offered it in London. It was already difficult getting one here.

Plus the box is huge, I would've had severe trouble packing it.

I am so happy! And very content right now. [emoji4]
