Bake that is a tough call. If you want to not spend any money I suggest maybe pass on the party. Maybe talk it over with your bf and see what he says.

DBF is going to buy his planner. Lol. I should just enjoy the party, and wait to see how he likes his before I get mine.

I'm resisting quite a few sales right now. Bally, Ferragamo, Longchamp, Mulberry. The hardest one will be Burberry.

I think that's a smart thing--let him get his planner and get a feel for it before you make a purchase. Picking a new planner is one of my favorite things to do right before the New Year--I'm an organizing geek at heart.

Hi, ladies! Just dropped in to see how everyone is doing. I sooo miss the interaction with all of you. :( I hope everyone is doing well on a personal level and in our beloved purse closets :). I have been away and behind on this thread for at least a month easy. Just scanned the last few pages and see that bags are going to new homes, oldies and goodies have come out to play, new bags/purchases are in route or recently acquired, and resistance is being displayed while fighting the urge to shop. Ahh...the struggles of an addict...I know that all too well myself.

I have been super busy and my shopping has been in control (somewhat). No bags, but I have been to our local craft store (that's Michaels for those in the U.S.) picking up supplies to pimp my new Kate Spade planner (stickers, washi tape (just discovered this amazing tape), sticker flags, laminator, foil, etc.). It's so cool and addicting to collect lots of washi. It's still amazing how I can spend more than anticipated when buying things that are a few dollars here and there. It all adds up so quickly. Sorry for sidetracking...

So, I resisted black Friday and all holiday sales so far. This is really amazing for me :) I also have NO wants this year for Christmas, which is REALLY amazing for me!! I hope I can keep this no want vibe going.

At the moment, I am carrying my speedy b in DE. I haven't been in the mood to change out of it. It's just so easy and carefree. I think it's been in rotation for a couple of months. I hope everyone is well and have a wonderful week!!! Miss everyone...

Then by all means go enjoy the party!

I think I'm beginning to catch a cold. Hoping I can fight it off today so I can go tomorrow.

But yes I'm just going to enjoy the party (hope there's yummy chocolate!) and will see if DBF likes his.

My criteria is that I must be able to slip my thin sketch book in a slot somehow. It looks like it would work, but I'll test out DBFs first.

I love spending the New Year's Day making my planner pretty while watching the Rose Parade. [emoji4] so I may have to delay that this year.

I love making pretty planner things!! I also have too much washi tape, I always say it's for scrap booking.... Stickers too. I love dog stickers.

Great job avoiding the sales!!! You can resist!!!

Keeping my shopping blinders on. [emoji41] borrow mine if needed, especially in LV. Have fun at the party!

We miss you too!

Aww...you are so sweet, DC. Good luck with your personal musical chair of purses. Sounds like you are getting things OUT (so there's room for new friends when they decide to stay). Love your holiday avatar too.

Wow, I can't believe we're going to be wrapping up the year soon. How did everyone do for their resolutions and goals this year? My main goal was to not purchase anything and also try to use the bags I didn't use in 2014 to see whether I would be letting them go. I did make it through some of them but mostly I've been focusing on using what I need, when I need it - it's worked out well so far but there are still some items I haven't had a chance to use yet. There's still a few weeks until the end of the year, so I'm going to work their way in - this time of year will let me use more of my clutches, which has been the biggest category of unused items, and it makes sense. Except for the bag pack last week(which I've been using a lot already) I did not purchase any bags or wallets this year! HURRAY!!!! My FIRST successful year after YEARS of trying - I'm so proud of my self haha, I can't believe it. Thanks everyone for helping me stay on track!

Good for you for zero bag purchase!!

Here is how I fared. I'm quoting my goal from Page 1 of this thread:
-----
"2015 Resolution: I know I cannot do a zero-bag purchase year, so I'll try to be realistic. I will only buy 1 or 2 Massaccesi bag(s) plus 1 premier designer bag - options are Chloe Paraty, Givenchy Nightingale or Antigona, Mulberry Bayswater or a Marc Jacobs 1984 or Metropolitan. I'm still deciding if I will get the Balenciaga Velo after all. No more RMs for a while. I hope to further downsize my RM collection (believe me it's so hard!!)."
-----

I was not good in 2015. :sweatdrop: I purchased a total of 24 bags. Of these, 4 have been/will be re-homed.

I did well on the Massaccesi purchases - I purchased 3 but 1 will be gifted, so net of 2. But as to the other bag purchases, the total amount I spent far exceeded an Antigona or Nightingale or Paraty, etc.!! For Marc Jacobs alone I got 2 brand new ones, plus a lot of pre-loved on MJ and some other brands. If you add all these up, definitely more than the price of an Antigona!

On the RM front, I think I did well. I definitely downsized my collection. And even if I said no more RMs, all the RMs I purchased in 2015, except 1, are keepers! So I don't feel bad at all.

Hi egg! So nice to be able to drop in and still be so warmly welcomed by you AND everyone in this thread. [emoji4]. I miss everyone. You ladies are the BEST!![emoji106]

Egg, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is awesome and truly a feat! Cheers [emoji483][emoji483] to you. You are an inspiration for me. That must have taken a great deal of will power and some powerful blinders.

I hope you find some opportunities to carry your clutches as you have many pretty ones.

Totally failed on my goals but I think I've gotten better. I'll do a recap when I have my laptop.

I don't even remember mine. So it must be a fail in my part. [emoji22]

Agree, just enjoy the party first!!

Hope you can drop in more often! We miss you here!!

Thanks msd! You are too sweet! [emoji182]

I would have never guessed 24 came in for you. You did a really good job sliding them in and I remember some real beauties too. If I recall some were picked up at a steal so does that count as being extremely cost efficient? So extra points there? As long as you really like them and you did home some of your other bags too. I don't even remember my goal so I am not doing that well either. I think I may have only gifted one wallet and can't remember anything else going out. Really need to work on that myself.

Amor - so good to hear from you! Sounds like so much fun organizing your planner!

Resolution? Failed horribly!!! Next year I have to be better.

Hi Lou! I hope you and the family are well this season. Did you have a great time in Vegas (sans kiddos)? Sorry if I missed it if you already posted about your trip. Trying to keep myself busy with new hobbies. Lol.
