Debating on whether to stay in my Speedy B or stay in my Bally.
I had a related thought earlier as I was dressing up for work (Monday morning here now), all these bag dilemma, haha. So I do build an outfit around a bag I want to wear. And then when I'm almost done dressing up, I would realize a different bag would look more stunning with the outfit. I would then be torn between staying with my original bag choice or changing into the 'better' one. Does this happen to you? And if so, do you stick to your original bag just for the sake of it being the first choice? I think most of the time I stick to my first bag, but sometimes I tend not to be happy with that decision.

Bake can you post a picture of the scarf? It sounds lovely.
I am kind of embarrassed to say it but I wore my fossil bag in burgundy to the swim meet. It matches the boots I wore and since it was not expensive I did not stress over it. I wanted to wear the bag my dad picked up but it did not match anything I wanted to wear. I should have stated to him I wanted a dark color but for 32 dollars I can't complain. I have to figure out a way to wear for the next meet .
The fossil is leather? I think we can still wear beautiful pieces to sporty events, but probably those for which we won't get a heart attack when something happens. :graucho:

Just this weekend, I wanted to wear my Sperry topsider for an errand - it is metallic silver and blue combination. But my casual bag, the MZ Wallace Paige, is colored taupe. Colors don't go together. So I didn't wear them both. Just wore my Birks with an old RM MAM bag.

And this is the mini-bag I carried - just got too tired of carrying a tote all week and wanted to lighten up. I don't think I can do this on a regular basis, even on weekends, but nice to have this little cutey for the off-chance I can.
Cute!! Me too, I can only do mini bags when I'll be out for a few hours. Or, if I really want, I will leave a second bag in the car (nylon Longchamp) which holds my kitchen sink. :graucho:

As to your first question I usually stick with the first choice of bag , If I planned an outfit just to wear it. I would make exception if I was going somewhere very important.
As for the fossil question, it is leather. It just matched my fall wardrobe better. If I do not find myself using the crossbody to a competition soon I might gift it to one of my nieces

Hm. Well I wear whatever bag, I don't pick a bag based on outfit unless it's the weekend. For work, I don't really care since it's not on my all day.

So for the weekend, I'll change bags if I can if my outfit or plans call for a different bag, if time permits.

I'm carrying my Bally. Totes are nice during the cold weather should I need to shed the extra clothing layers. So it's going to be totes for a few weeks haha.

Ahhh. Going a little crazy, just saw there's Disneyland and California Adventure Starbucks Christmas mug ornaments and mugs!!

But going to Disneyland is out of the question since I'm saving for London. The ticket prices are higher than I've ever paid.

LVintage, there's more to add to your collection!

You carry a lot! Do you use it all?

Cuz I'm about to carry a coloring book and pencils for my lunch breaks haha
More or less... the larger items, yes, I do ,and the smaller items in the pouches not so much but since they're so small, I carry them...I know that makes no sense lol.. it's a security blanket kind of feeling haha
You have a hidden stash of fun bags. Love it!
tnx!
It sounds like a lot but you can see it really is not . The only thing missing is the phone because I used it to take the picture.
that is very little! so lucky... I have everything organized so it's not as bad as it sounds but it does add weight

tnx! and nope, i don't make outfits to fit the bag unless i'm going to a wedding or special event

I don't currently have a twilly, I managed to find a small silk scarf among my stored stuff that I wrapped around my Linea Pelle bag. This is the bag I posted before which I think could use some embellishment - a charm or a twilly. (Excuse the dirty mirror.)

Gifting the bag sounds good if it will not prove to be useful.

Thanks ladies for your response about building an outfit around a bag. It doesn't always happen with me. But it happens the most when I just received the bag. :smile1:

You look cute! ;)

I normally dress myself first then think about the bag I'd carry with it.

But if you're having doubt about whether or not you should change, I think you should go with what feel right at the moment. If you will feel guilty to the first bag, carry the first bag. I'm sure the second bag will understand since it comes later, right? But if you think you can get away with the second one and that the first one will understand, just change into the second one. (I have this weird feeling that every objects has its own soul and that they can really "feel" something. Blame it on my childhood reading and some weird stuff I saw on TV back then. But even now, I still have a feeling like that so.... There's a reason I don't criticize my stuffs out loud for fear they'll hear and it'll hurt their feeling. Weird, I know.)

A lot of girls in the Massaccesi thread are suggesting that Marco comes out with that rose quartz color. I'm sure somebody will let him know and hopefully he'll be able to work something out with the tannery. :smile1: I believe a Minerva in merinos leather will be so good - lightweight, smooth and soft!

Barest essential in my bag - wallet, my separate credit card case, keys, tissue, cloth cleaner for eyeglasses, comb, compact powder and brush, pen, company ID and dental floss!!

Yes! I was thinking about it last night after I see the pantone swatch. It would be lovely. A rose quartz Minerva in Merino. (I even have a weird idea of changing the flap's color into black since very likely this one will be a bespoke bag. I have to keep reminding myself that this is not a new year yet. I shouldn't be plotting on getting a new bag, but oh... well... Or should I have it in black with that pink color as a flap? Not that I'm big on color block, but I just love my bag to have a little more of something lately. :p)

Your essential sounds a lot like mine. And I tend to carry in bulk and some more. I keep telling myself there's a reason I can't go minimalism for long. :D But my shoulders and people around me don't seem to agree on me carrying such a load. :(

I got the camel check with the parade red monogramming. I also got the kids size scarf as the adult scarves are too long for me, haha.

I like camel check because it really goes well with my wardrobe.
.

Ah.. you're so lucky you can wear camel. I look so old and fat and very very plain in that color. (It adds years and inches to my already not-so-little body) I'd love to one day wear a nice pant suit or a safari jacket in that color and look as sharp as Lauren Bacall. Well, not gonna happen.

Post it here when it arrive! I'd love to oogle on yours. :)

I'm the worst person to ask this, because my answer is 'everything' haha. I like to be prepared and am so bad at down-sizing, most of my bags are medium sized satchels and they weigh a lot. I like to be prepared for anything. I switched into a mini bag this weekend only because I knew I was going to one place and coming straight home - i downsized to a card holder to hold my essential cards, lip balm, external phone charger, eye drops, granola bar (I'm pretty sure I could have left home without that since I was going to eat lol) and I fit my key holder and phone in my winter jacket pocket. Normally, I carry several pouches to carry random stuff, a small note book, full sized wallet, and sometimes a pencil case for work... I really need to stop lugging around so much.

Oh.... no. You're not carrying too much. I carry quite a similar load to yours. (I even have a small bottle of baby powder in my bag, just in case of an unexpected sweat or else, I don't know what I can use it for. :wondering: ) I leave my house in the morning with a notion that I won't be back until the end of the day so if anything happen, I'll be on my own. And with that idea in mind, I pack everything. :graucho:

That's such a cute bag! I'm sure it'll help lighten up your day. I smile every time I see a Tokidoki bag. :)

Wallet. Battery charger, glasses cleaner, card case, phone, lip balm

That's a great idea. I carry these stuff, too, plus some more. :sweatdrop:

I carry a notebook and a 10-color-in-1 chubby pen that I give to DD when we are at a restaurant that's not so kid's friendly so she has something to do. (I use it for taking note, too.) Not to mention I have 2 sets of color marker on me all the time. :sweatdrop: I think if you just carry it with you to work and back, then it should be fine. Well, but then again, I always pack everything. :)

Wow! That's such a compact bunch. I guess the key is organizing then. :shame:
