i think that for me, 2010 was the year of the ossie. i still use that bag a ton and plan to use it well into 2011. i also got a paradise collection bag - the vera, which i love. it's a smaller bag so only sees the light of day on the weekends. still, that leather is divine and i might try for something else in the paradise line.

i'm looking forward to more mj discussions and reveals in 2011!

2010 was great.. it was when i even started with MJ at all!

a miss for me would be the Python Embossed Large Single. so gorgeous, but it just wasn't practical for me, and didn't match anything i had or wore.

i, like kmroboto, had a hit with the Paradise Vera. freaking love that bag. the leather is soft but durable at the same time, and an awesome size for me

hopefully i'll be able to get some more MJ in 2011... but not likely. i will live vicariously through everyone's awesome reveals!

tad, OMG you got the Viva?? that's my dream bag... please please do a reveal!

2010 wasn't MJ's best year to me--I loved the Gene, which I was lucky enough to purchase at the Saks sale (and which I'll try to post a reveal of since I haven't seen one on here) but it was really the only bag this year that I had to have (well, I'd love the Absinthe...sigh). I spent most of the year scooping up the bags I really wanted from '09 (the best year's designs ever to me) but had fun seeing all the reveals of everyone's different bags here.

Thanks to many of you, I realized what would work for me and what wouldn't...and I can't wait to see more in 2011!

I just remembered- my 2010 "misses" were basically all of the bags that I either couldn't sell at all or couldn't sell at a price I was comfortable with. I hope I manage to sell them this year and finally streamline my collection a little!

:D2010 was a great year for me:D
My dirty martini Hillier has been great to me. She's been one of my everyday bags. I love the texture and the color!
As for my toddler and everyday Natasha bag has saved me during the shopping days and nights of the holidays. I love you Natasha!!
My bulky and huge Ukita, who I adore, has been great also. The leather is so smooshy and soft. I love this steel color too.
Last but not least, I have been eyeing the Cecilia since the beginning of the year and I finally took the plunge on getting her on sale! So far I LOVE her!!! Thank you girls for commenting and helping me make my purchases. I can't wait to see what 2011 will bring us!!​

this is a great thread iluvmybags!

it's been a slow mj year for me too. i tried to stop buying a bag in every colour in the rainbow and stopped to think what was practical for me, so i've sold a few mj bags.

i bought the sage mbmj faridah, but the colour wasn't right for me so that went to a new home. and i'd been eyeing up the baby stam for yonks and finally took the plunge in october and bought a quilted ivory one from a few years ago!

from this year's collection i've taken a shine to the lacquered leathers and the paradise line, but haven't taken the plunge as i don't really 'need' anything! the absinthe is divine! but totally out of my price range even though it's on sale on NAP hehe. i'm looking fwd to what comes out next year - particularly that new fuschia :graucho:

I have been out of MJ loop for the most part of 2010 (I only started MJ's in 2009 lat quarter), thanks for the summaries Iluvmybag and ladies, I'm sure I will catch up ;)

for some crazy reason, i contemplated getting the one on nap uk, but they don't ship exotics to the u.s. :sad: it was a substantial discount without the vat too.

2010 was a great year for me and MJ. I had a lovely time adding to my collection and now have some wonderful "older" MJ bags (like my gorgeous tapioca Blake and icy taupe stam!). Some were snatched up from wonderful tpfers (so, thanks to you!). My love for all things MJ was definitely rekindled this year, and I can't wait to see what finds I uncover in 2011. :D

BOM, I was able to get the Gene (this is the fall version in grey smooth leather) for $420. I was up late on Christmas Eve and kept checking the web site until the price dropped.

I'd only seen the croc-and-leater Gene IRL before I ordered this, but it's far more beautiful than it looked on the web site. I hope one pops back up on saks.com for you!

I'll try to do one tomorrow--I've been really busy this weekend! I'm so happy--in 2008 I desperately wanted a Carter Jr. in charcoal and had--no joke--16 in my saks.com shopping bag for more than a week because I was trying to figure out how quickly they'd sell out. Then they did that crazy pre-Thanksgiving sale and I heard about it too late and logged back on to find them all gone. ... hence my crazy late-night page refreshing this year. :laugh:

I got my first MJ in 2009 when I joined tPF:D Since then, I've been slowly accumulating some bags..I've yet to do a reveal but I promise I will soon. I've purchased most of my bags in 2010 (mainly classics). I love my taupe Firebird stam but I haven't had the chance to use it as I've been a busy gal with work and my two kids. I'm now being more careful with my purchases and like jun, I don't want to hoard a whole lot of bags than I don't use.
I would definitely love to own the Absynthe..:love: but it's waaay out of my price range!
