Picture of the Suede Militaire from Cultstatus blog. The 2011 Militaire in leather is much much lighter and different shade than this suede.

^^^ It might not be in real life, bag'hem all!!!! When it is released, try this: go into the shop to try it on, making sure you are wearing all green - olive cargo pants, dark emerald top, tan shoes, black or grey jacket/sweater/scarf.... and when you put the Militaire RGGH against you, you'll say to yourself, "oh NO!! This is just too military, too green for me".

It might work to persuade you NOT to buy it... or not!

Hahaha maybe I should try it wearing what you suggested. I don't have an emerald top and tan shoes though. I'll just substitute the top with white or khaki then wear black boots haha who know it might just make or break?! I'ved always been a sucker for green

When will the regular militaire be out in the market? By the way, the suede version looks really nice IMO. Will there be a PT Suede version of this?

I've got the 2010 Light Olive city RGGH and I've seen the new suede Militaire now. Militaire is definitely darker, pure army green. I haven't seen non-suede Militaire yet though. Light Olive is a perkier green...in some pics the light olive looks quite muted, but the ones that I've seen irl including my own, is that it's a sharper 'perkier' green. Am I helping?

Thanks Missmoimoi - I know what you mean about light olive being 'perky'. If anything, I am hoping Militaire in leather will be the same dark khaki green as the suede version as that would suit me better than the perkier light olive I think!

Klow - thanks for the pics sweetie. I  the colour of the suede, but don't think I'd go for Militaire leather if it's a similar light shade to light olive.

^^See, to me, Militaire looks to have both brown and grey tones to it. Its a neutral toned green like olive drab uniforms. Goes with both warm and cool colors alike.

Definitely need to get something in Militaire, I missed out on Olive, luckily I didn't get it because Militaire is much more to my liking. It's going to match with the military green blazer I got recently. ^.^

The Militaire is definitely more serious than the Olive Green, which has lots of underlying yellow in it. Personally, I prefer Militaire - particularly if it every comes out as a leather with RGGH (oooh!) over the Light Olive. I feel Militaire is more versatile than Light Olive.

I'm so glad that other folks posed this question because I was wondering myself if I (yet again) missed out on a color ... but it sounds like I might just want to wait for the Militaire (especially living in New England where it would be great on those fall days)!!

Hmmm :thinkin: I was imagining something like this?! And hoping it to be...
