For what it's worth, personally I think it's an absolutely gorgeous bag. The perfect size and colour for daily use and I love the veining!
I use my B30 for absolutely anything.. grocery shopping, trip to the post office, out for lunch, day at the shops.. you name it!
These bags are built to last and mine is far older than yours.
Unlike Chanel I think, if you need a repair generally Hermes will do it, no matter the age of the bag or if you are the first owner.
This is far more robust than a classic flap and can last a lifetime. Use it whenever you like and enjoy it, it's beautiful!! The fact that it has some wear means you can use it without worry of causing that first ding. Oh and the sticker shock wears off quite quickly once you start using it.
Love what you wrote Tonimichelle! I second all heartily. And you made me laugh out loud at this “Oh and the sticker shock wears off quite quickly once you start using it.
“. Indeed it does - enough to let us go back and buy more!!! We joke about the “H economy” like well, that Evelyne is really only 6 90 scarves etc. But I was talking to DH this morning and said I need to go to Target, but as it’s misty I will only take my Evelyne. He said “only?” And poked gentle fun as if a 3K handbag was nothing (he’s not a tpf member or a bag aficionado although he’s been a great support and likes how much I enjoy). It made me laugh too, as Evelyne’s are gorgeous, well made, very nice grab and go bags. When I was fresh out of school an Evelyne would have been unattainable! Funny how we change over time as our circumstances change.

i echo Tonimichelle - wear it anywhere you want whenever you want for whatever you want. It’s really great!! And I think this particular Plomb b with those gorgeous veins is really quite stunning!

Congratulations! This is a great bag in a great color. Take off the tag and make it YOUR bag. Carry it everywhere; as others have said, it’s a tote bag. These bags were made to last for decades and get passed from person to person; you’re this bag’s person now, so enjoy it! You can easily sell it to someone else, even with wear and tear, if you ever choose to.

Honestly, you got off easy (LOL, our warped standards in H world) with a $2,000 convenience tax to get what you wanted instantly, instead of a potential $20,000 entry fee to get in the running for a new B at the boutique.

Great answer:heart:! This was me  , and then still had to dish out almost $15K for the bag.

I think most everyone addressed your concerns already and I agree with them. Most of the flaws you mentioned can be easily fixed with a spa trip. Just wanted to personally add that the Birkin is easily my most used bag and you’ll see that the cost per wear justifies its price. I use my Birkins more than any of my other bags (Kellys, Chanels, etc). It’s an easy grab and go tote.

Hi,
I recently purchased my first B30 in Togo preowned from Fashionphile. I swore I would never cross over from Chanel (I have a huge collection) to H & yet here I am. I know I overpaid ($14,072 with tax & overnight shipping) from retail. It's from 2015 (color Plomb which is now discontinued) with some corner wear, marks/scuffs & scratches on HD. I'm struggling a bit for several reasons.. one being am I really ready to pay this much for a handbag when I have so many others to use; I lead a very casual lifestyle (stay at home mom) so will I have enough occasions to use it? (I'd be hesitant to bring it to my tennis classes LOL); & was it a bad price considering it has wear? The reality is that I don't want to play the H game & just end up purchasing things I don't really want or need. I'm not into scarves, twillies etc; I just want a B LOL but that being said, am I settling for this vs being patient? However, I def don't want to pay more than what I paid & I know the resale market is so high. What if I ever want to resell it down the road; are discontinued colors hard to resell & would I have to bring it H spa before reselling? Sorry so many questions!! Do I just cut the tag off & start enjoying it?!! THANKS for any input

Why do you want a Birkin? if you raise so many questions about when you would use it.
It does not take much imagination to get the attraction.
It's a tote; it's a useful size for a Mom - you do leave the house with your children, I assume; it's a really special and useful colour; in a few months time you will get over the feeling that you have spent too much on yourself; as someone else said - cut the tag and enjoy it.
