if only it didn't have the car embellishment! I really am a plain bag person (although I can't bring myself to return the black/pink tea rose rogue 25 even though nothing about it works for me!)

Yeah, I am a plain bag person as well, or at least more subtle detailing. I can understand your division about the tea rose too. I love to look at them, and kind of want one, but also know nothing about it works for me!

I meant to tell you but forgot what thread you had provided me information on size/wearability of the Rogue 25 v. the Saddle 23, but just realized it was this one! When looking today I actually found the Saddle 23 in Butterscotch, which would be one of my two colour choices, was on sale. I thought all the plain 23s were still at FP. I decided I should at least order it and look at it in person. I also went and ordered the regular Whiplash in Mineral, I am thinking the pebble leather might mean it is a little smooshier or slouchier with wear. Plus I really want something in that colour! Your comments about the depth of the Rogue 25 and capacity resonated; I don't like to wear deeper bags crossbody either, and really for evenings out I have a couple bags in my collection that fulfill that purpose. For a more casual crossbody for weekends, errands, sightseeing, and so on, it sounds like the Saddle 23 might be the one to fill that gap in my collection. I decided I needed to at least see them in person before deciding against them, anyway, or else I would just keep wondering...

So thanks for enabling...er, informing...me!

That mineral whiplash is so pretty! I do love the saddle 23 and butterscotch is a great color. I have the Rogue and dinky 24 in Butterscotch though or else that 23 would have been mine too!
I actually have the saddle 23 in black, tabac (with back pouch pocket!), olive and gray with rivets so you can see I like them. I have the regular size saddle in forest (not 1941), black and cornflower, but haven't used them in a while... But that mineral whiplash I'm sure I'd use lol.
The saddle for me is just so comfortable and sort of conforms to your body and Iove a thicker strap.
Right now I'm trying not to order a red rogue off ebay because I received a promotion for 8% eBay bucks. They are so trying to tempt me!

I would not really recommend suede then. It does require more care as well as regular maintenance, otherwise it starts looking pretty awful. If you want a do everything and go everywhere bag, I would not recommend suede unless you don't care how it looks, especially if you declare yourself as careless with your things.

I do take care of my bags, and even I won't buy or carry a suede exterior bag; just more worry than I care for in my life (suede interiors are fine, but even then I still am cautious!).

A regular leather/pebble leather is a better option. Even then I still recommend taking care of it if you want it to last a long time AND look good. Leather needs some care and maintenance now and then, period, if you want it to keep looking good. Protecting, conditioning, being careful of rain, etc.

The Rogues themselves are very well constructed though, nice thick chewy leather, nicely finished, sturdy. They have not been around that long to look over the years, but given their construction I have no doubt they can last a lifetime - and still look good - with regular care and maintenance, including letting them rest as well.
Thanks so much for all this advice. As beautiful as that suede is I decided in the end it just wasn't smart for me to get it. I did end up getting the oxblood satchel, I could not say no! It is stunning. Also ordered me a mohawk rexy as they didn't have it in store. I plan to keep all my make up and pens in bags as to avoid dirtying up the suede inside as much as possible.

Great choice! My Oxblood satchel is sitting beside me while I am at Friday Happy Hour :drinks:

Woo hoo! Are you gonna put rexy on the satchel?

Ordered the butterscotch dinky 24 late last night. I hope I love it!! I would have loved to get a Rogue but that's just not in the budget for me right now, even on sale. I had to limit myself which was so hard with all these great bags in the sale!!! Anyone have the dinky 24 in butterscotch?? Is it love?? I would have loved to get the dinkier in that pretty pink but I just couldn't justify the price for a bag so small it couldn't even hold my phone (iPhone 7 plus). I wish that one came in the larger sizes. Anyway, congrats to all on your purchases. I'm loving seeing them all. Beautiful bags!
