Ladies! Those who chose 19 in tweed through the years - would you buy the same bag after you had some time to wear/enjoy it?

I’m very drawn to 19 in tweed and finally placed an order for 21S black and beige houndstooth Small with a wonderful SA I often work remotely.

Also, ( don’t laugh at my inexperience  ) I live in the humid south. Are moth a problem for Chanel tweed? My bag will be wool/cotton all natural materials. I had once a cashmere sweater ruined because of that.

I love Chanel tweed and denim but if there is one thing that’ll hurt is seeing any little holes in the tweed in the years to come. My SA said he never heard of such an issue.

Congrats!! I love my tweed 19. I haven’t had it for long so can’t speak to the longevity of it. But it’s stunning. I do have pilling issues on the back from rubbing against my body wearing crossbody.
For the potential moth issues, I would put one of those cedar wood planks or those sticky moth things in my closet for just in case.

Thank you for your reply! I use cedar planks/balls around my natural fibers and sometimes “wake up” a year later forgetting that they lose their effectiveness sooner than that. Also planning to get lavender/rosemary sachets. I have an extensive fragrance collection in my closet and love florals.

I always thought I wanted Chanel tweed in a mini reissue or cc flap but 19’s super casual beauty in tweed kept on growing. I’m very excited.

Joining the Chanel 19 club! Honestly I did not like it at all when I first saw it. Now, almost 2 years in, I finally started looking at it more (mainly because I have been buying most of the other “classic” bags and kinda ran out of variety to buy). I saw this in store and fell in love with it. However, I am still not sure if I should have gone for the classic black and gold combination (I am a very boring person). If I really love a bag, I don’t mind getting a second one in black again later but otherwise, I’m just afraid I might not love it as much and one is already too many (and if I only want to keep one, black gold seems the way to go). I have not brought my new bag out and don’t see an opportunity to do so anytime soon (I live in Singapore and we have recently rolled out partial lock down again to control covid spread due to variant from India) and do have concerns about the bag becoming squishy - any long users since 2019 can share your thoughts and condition of your Chanel 19 2 years later?
Should I keep the gold or go get a credit note and wait for black if I only intend to get one? Appreciate any insight lovely ladies from purseblog can give me as I started my Chanel collection after lurking in the forums for a long time before I finally made the plunge on my first Chanel bag after I got out of University and landed my first job. Since then, I always come back here for advice and opinions before I make the plunge to get another bag.

Stay safe everyone

Beautiful! We’d love to see more of this beauty ;)

I'm very sorry if this is a dumb question or the wrong thread to post in, but is there any place where I could easily see every color of 19? Alternatively is there more than one gold version of this bag? I've seen pics where the gold 19 looks like a sparkling champagne and pics where it looks more like a matte/brushed gold. Is it just different lighting? TIA!
