Hello all the lovely VCA lovers/experts, I am thinking of getting either 10 or 20 motif necklace in next month or so. I have tried on both and my initial reaction was that I liked the 20 motif one much better on me as I thought 10 motif one made my roundish face even more rounder(?) if that makes any sense where as 20 one seemed to elongate my face little. However, I keep going back and forth between 20 and 10 motif not being able to make up my mind.
Although I was so sure that I would go for MOP, now that I have tried on TE I am even more confused than ever. So before I get into a decision making between MOP and TE, I wanted to see your views on 10 and 20 motif necklaces. What are some pros and cons of these two necklaces? I would be so grateful if you could share your thoughts to help me narrow down my decision.
Thank you as always!

I have a 20 and love it. I actually hook my five motif bracelet To it to make it a 25 motif and it is easier to double the necklace for a shorter look. You can also try hooking a five motif to a ten motif to have an elongated look too if you do not want it to be as long as a 20.

I have 2 10s and a 20. I bought my 10s first before getting a 20. Overall I use my 10s more. One 10 I only wear on it’s own, the second I wear mostly as a 15 connected with matching bracelet and then the 20 I wear 50/50 long/doubled.
I think both lengths are useful but do have different purposes to me. The 10 is easier to wear casually but can still be dressed up. The 20 works well with dresses or suit/sport jackets. I wouldn’t wear the 29 with a T-shirt - long or doubled whereas a 10 I do all the time So maybe get a 10 and 20 haha.
If you are concerned about the 10 looking too round then you can extend it by 2 inches or get the matching bracelet and wear as a 15.

Thank you! This is very helpful to know that you think 20 may not work with casual wear as I am a very casual dresser for the most part. When you get a chance, do you mind posting a photo of 20 worn as double looped? I would love to see what it looks like.

i am also thinking about this dillema. i'm considering a chalcedony 10 or 20, just quite worried because i don't want to regret my decision later on as i wouldn't buy both. the clasps of two tens do bother me a lot so i have to choose one or the other.

I have a 20 and wear it casual, with a top and skinny jeans. To me, a 20 is a much more swingy and carefree casual look than a 10 being so close to the face. I also think a 20 gives a long lean look.

Wardrobe matters, and for me, I wear a lot of scoop/boatneck/ballet necklines and rarely wear collared shirts. I think the 10 sometimes competes with scoop necklines. I think a 10 looks best with a v-neck or under a open collared blouse.

Because I wear a lot of scoop/boatneck/ballet necklines (I am super casual), I would get a 20 for sure. You may want to look at your wardrobe and what type of tops you wear to help you decide.

Just my two cents. I hope this helps.

Hello, how about 2 tens? It seems that getting two ten motif necklaces is more versatile. If you worry about the closure showing, then it is another story. Choose 20 motif if you don't like to connect the two 10s as a 20 motif long necklace.

As for MOP or TE, TE doesn't look too flattering if worn as 10 morif because TE colour is a bit tricky, it turns golden yellow and brown and when they are bunched up together and the motif get too close, it reminds me of soil from the ground. But a TE 20 might look nice because they are not too close to the neck and there is enough space for the motif to move and dangle. For TE, sometimes you need to match with the colour of your clothing.

If it is too hard to choose, how about 20 TE, and one 10 motif MOP?
