I'm surprised Chopard uses J colored diamonds.

Mmm,I found that a little bit suprising, still its big enough to be classed as an important stone.

It would be useful and interesting to see pics, there was a bit of a debate going on on another thread about this sort of thing where ladies would'nt want what is really quite a low colored stone. Its sometimes interesting to see that a stones innate beauty can go a long way for making up for that. Plus would be nice just to have a nosey at a whopping stone!!!:graucho:

some people can be color snobs I think . . . I was sort of one until I was enlightened in a big way recently.
I posted this in another thread, but here it is again:

I remember that pic from the other thread......such a beautiful stone!!! It really is amazing how color in diamonds can be misenterpreted until you actually see them!!! Mines an I color, and I have had many people remark 'thats gotta be a F/G color' to be then totally amazed that its a humble I !!! Saying that tho,I have seen some stones at I/J color that look horrendous, sometimes its the quality of the 'crystal' the diamond is cut from that plays such a huge part of a stones life and fire. Would still love to have a nosey at this Chopard one!!!:graucho:

Chaz, I love hearing you talk about diamonds!!! You are almost writing poetry to my ears!

One thing that you have toughed upon here is about the crystal or actual rock quality that the stone was cut from. That makes a lot of sense really, but it is something that rarely gets mentioned. Its almost like some would like us to believe that all diamonds are equal but for the inclusions or color and the cut given. Surely diamond `crystal` differs from the get go with some diamonds destined to be more beautiful than others even with the same color and cut??? Can you elaberate on this please????:tup:
