I live in the DC suburbs and the list is about the same. Not so much Goyard or Prada though. More Gucci monogram I think.

In NYC -
(Referring to bags I see everyday in midtown where I work and the student-heavy area where I live...you see some more interesting bags in places like the West Village, SoHo, Meatpacking, but these are the bags I see again and again):

1. Longchamp Le Pliage - this was my trusty standby for years and I still use it regularly for travel and on bad weather days, but have tried to branch out otherwise because I bored of seeing them everywhere!
2. Lots of MK - don't know the different bags that well, lots of the popular tote style
3. LV neverfull - mostly monogram and DE
4. LV speedy - mostly monogram and DE
5. Other LV monogram
6. Goyard totes
7. Various Coach
8. Various Tory Burch
9, Prada totes
10. Rebecca Minkoff

On occasion I spot Prada or Chanel.

Someone noted the Vera Bradley bags in Boston/New England and it made me laugh because of the explosion of Vera bags I see every time I go there! Definitely a regional love for Vera. You see a fair amount of the duffel bags around in NYC for travel, but not purses.

I love this thread because I basically stare at bags on my commute from the UWS to Midtown Manhattan every day!

The most ubiquitous individual bags by far are the LV Neverfull and the Longchamp Le Pliage. I also see a ton of the MICHAEL Michael Kors bags. I don't know those bags but I see mostly the saffiano looking totes and the satchels with the big locks. I see a decent number of MZ Wallace bags, mostly Metro totes these days but still a few Kate/Jane/Baby Jane styles. I see at least a few Prada saffiano totes and Gucci Soho bags each week.

My dc goes to private school on the UES and school event bag watching is a different story! I still see a lot of Neverfulls, but I always see at least one Birken (3 at the last kids b-day party!) and a Chanel or two. I used to see a few Luggage totes but now I'm seeing more Givenchy Pandoras instead.

In the 6 yrs I have lived in my area in Essex I have seen a chanel flap bag once. The rest are no name bags from high street shops. In london michael kors /mulberry LV speedy or neverfull/longchamp mainly. Then hermes /Chanel/celine/prada but not as commonly as the aforementioned brands.

In order from most common to least common:

1. LV Speedy & Neverfull (Fake & real)
2. MK Hamilton & Coach (Fake & real)
3. Rebecca Minkoff & Kate Spade everything
4. Balenciaga (Various styles)
5. Prada Saffiano Tote
6. Saint Laurent Sac de Jour
7. Goyard Saint Louis
8. Gucci & Chloe everything
9. Chanel Boy & Flap/ Hermes Kelly & Birkin. 10. Celine Luggage, BV Veneta, & Givenchy (Rare sighting)

I work in retail and this what i've been noticing customer's carrying:

Lately i've seen ALOT of these little square black gucci bags... i just looked it up they're called "soho leather disco bag" I've seen like 4 or 5 in the past 2 days. I don't know why i'm noticing these all of sudden they don't seem anything special.

I also see ALOT of longchamp bags i would say atleast a dozen a day. Mostly the tote, but i have seen a few people with the backpack.

Kate Spade is really popular around here so i've seen a lot of ladies of all ages carrying these.

I've also seen a lot of Michael Kors for same reasons as Kate Spade.

Of course i a fair amount of coach, thankfully mostly the leather bags and not many ugly monogram bags but they're still there. I would say at the moment Kate Spade and Michael Kors are more popular though... around where i live anyway.

I see a lot of girls with the big LV tote... the other LV styles aren't as popular or noticed.

That's all i can think of at the moment. I see a huge variety of bags but those are the ones that stick out right now.

My friend once stated that Asians are into Balenciagas, MCMs and all the unique ones while her side (she's black) is into Gucci.

I'm Black and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Gucci, and Dooney & Bourke. But a lot of Black women are into LV/Coach/MK...none of which are my flavor.

And generally I see Mostly LV/Coach/MK of course mostly monogram and signature [the only reason I know they are these brands...I actually just realized the bags with the squares are LV haha, shows how much attn I pay to LV]. I don't know any of the names of any of the bags from these brands [except the LV Ellipse, which someone gifted to me sometime in the past]

I used to see tons of Coach but haven’t seen as much of it recently. Sometimes I’ll see something different (saw a YSL SDJ in a store and a Celene on a subway), but I mostly see LV and Michael Kors

Metro Manila Philippines.

In school: Graduate. Most women are well-heeled compared to the general population: Middle class and higher.

3.) Louis Vuitton
4.) Longchamp
5.) Other high street brand bags like Guess, Zara, Nine West (No one seems to be sporting an obvious fake).

Seems the Le Pliage phase has died out a lot.

I've been seeing lots of Celine and Neverfulls in Damier Azur.
Seems as soon as the weather got warm, they switched out from NF DE to NF DA.. lol.. They're everywhere.
