My comment was more in reference to those wearing giant Gucci or LV bags that are in that realm pricewise.
Coach, TB, MK, etc. are on the lower pricepoint, but I don't see Rebecca Minkoff here either. DvF falls under contemporary in my eyes too.
I honestly don't hate them either. I buy what I like, regardless of designer. I've just grown weary of the in your face logo for logo's sake, the so and so bought has one, so I'm going to buy one mentality, and the assumption that all nice bags are one of the aforementioned brands. If one legitimately likes the bag, regardless of where it's purchased, rock it and screw the naysayers, but I think there's better things to focus on than proving a point to someone else with a purse.
If you've ever branched into the contemporary designer forums you would see that most of these women that are on this forum do not post or talk about their typical bags. It's to show the unexpected. Most of these bags are expensive. Nobody's really talking about their $20 target find. These women are amazing whether they have a $100 purse or a $2,000 purse. To each is his own. We all have different taste.
I have so many things to think about in my life and a purse that is over $500 isn't reasonable in my life. Yes, I could buy more of the premier purses, but I honestly don't want to. My computer cost the same as a Chanel. My computer is something I use very often. We all choose what we spend our money on. I come from humble beginnings and to have everything equal in my life is important.
I focus on myself, and not brands. Most of the people in my area wouldn't even know how to pronounce Prozena Schouler. HAHAHA! I have some of the clothes, I think they're wonderful.
I think it's exciting to try different brands low point price and high point price. So, I will do as you say and forget about the naysayers. I'm going to rock my bag, because I love it. It makes me ridiculously happy.
