i live in a suburban/semi-rural area in Texas. So the bags I see the most are

1. that hideous, god-awful giraffe print knock off bag (discussed here: http://forum.purseblog.com/handbags-and-purses/what-the-god-awful-bag-i-keep-seeing-405283.html). This is by far the most common bag around here :throwup:
2. fake Coach
3. "inspired by" Coach (Goach, etc).
4. real Coach (only signature line)
5. fake LV (monogram)
6. the seatbelt bags :yucky:
7. Kathy Van Zeeland bags
8. fake Chanel cambon totes
9. random no-name bags
10. real, classic monogram LV (LV speedy or Batignolles Horizontal, or cabas piano)

however, when I go to Northpark or the Galleria (Dallas proper), it's a different story..i see a LOT less fakes and a lot more authentic designer bags: real LV speedies, nevefulls, Chanel flaps/totes, Jimmy choo bags.

However I have to say that in general women in Paris don't carry a lot of designer handbags (I mean the really expensive ones...)

2. LV (some might be fakes, they have to be really, REALLY bad fakes for me to be able to tell).

Of course Staten Island is NYC! Don't encourage the tourists who think that NYC is Manhattan only.:graucho:

I find in NYC it really depends on what neighborhood you're in. I was on Madison and 57th this morning (I don't get up there much) and just about EVERY woman walking past me had a serious bag. :nuts:

Midtown where I spend most of my days, I see a lot of Le Pliage, Coach (the nice leather ones) and some indies inbetween.

I have a friend on Long Island and whenever I go to gettogethers there, it's like a Coach store, EVERYONE has some form of Coach bag.

Fake Chanel, LV, Gucci, Coach, etc. I pretty much only notice nice leather bags, and the last one I actually took notice of was a pretty green Nordstrom brand bag. (I stopped and ask her) This is why I probably hate anything with monograms/logos on it. Even the real things look cheap to me now.
