Most common bag styles I see in downtown Chicago:

1. LV Speedy (I see 1-4 of these every day in various sizes and patterns)
2. Longchamp Le Pliage
3. Coach Signature Stripe Tote
4. Coach Carly
5. LV Neverfull

Inexpensive no-name bags are by far the most prevalent, but these are the most common designer brands:

1. Coach
2. LV

3. Fendi
4. Gucci
5. Longchamp
Then a smattering of Burberry, Chanel, Dooney, Kate Spade, YSL, LeSportSac, Cole Haan, Prada...

Nine West
Fossil
Aigner
Other Penney's or Beall's Brands

I saw a Balenciaga City once hanging off a woman's arm in Pier One and I almost had a heart attack because there is no real eye candy here to speak of.

In my area, I see:

1. Coach (lots and lots of Coach)
2. Premier Designer (e.g. Burberry, Chanel, LV)
3. Department store bags (of the Kathy van Zeeland and B. Makowsky variety)

I never see anyone with my fave brand, Hayden Harnett, and I like it that way.

1. live on the Texas-Mexican border, so unfortunately, the most common purses are FAKES of everything (some ugly ones too)
now for the common ones ive seen that arent fake

Here in my town (Italy) I mostly see
-Cheap non designer handbags
-Gucci
-LV monogramme (speedy and neverfull mostly)
-fake Gucci and LV
-Prada and Miumiu bags
Sometimes: Balenciaga
Rarely: BV and Hermés

During special, formal events, I mostly see Chanel

Rarely do I see designer bags, most of the time no name leather bags, fake LV and fake Coach, the giraffe bag and Vera Bradley. I live in a rural area and most people out here wouldn't spend more than $40 on a handbag, if that.
