I'd go with Zeko: https://zekosauthentication.com/ or Leather Surgeons: http://www.leathersurgeons.com/ you'd have to send it in to LS, with Zeko you can send detailed pics she requests. Zeko is super responsive and very thorough. I wouldn't trust anyone else outside of those 2. I have several vintage and I've always used them for auth or repair. That bag is a horrible fake. Sorry this happened but Poshmark is notorious for fakes and also notorious for disputing fakes. We sometimes learn these hard lessons with buying vintage and off the internet.
Agreed!! I used Zeko, shes amazing! Super thorough and genuinely knows her stuff!! :))

Good luck on your bag
I’m so sorry that this happened to you! I hope it gets resolved in some way. I will keep you updated on what happens to my bag, I receive it on Saturday.

How fast is Zeko at authenticating a vintage cf? As stated above, I also bought from poshmark, and my vintage cf is arriving Saturday. I have 72 hours to authenticate before releasing funds to the seller. I have only ever used Memes Treasures, who I know authenticates as soon as I send pictures and authenticity can be confirmed. Any thoughts would be appreciated, as I am wondering if I should try Zeko this time, but I am in a time crunch and with it being the weekend.

trust me shes super quick!! choose the 2nd option, i was able to get a response from her by 2/3 days max (only coz seller was busy and couldnt take the pics more quickly.
So you pay for the service first, then send her a message with your 'transaction number' and write in detail what youre looking for and that you need a quick response (just to remind her - but trust me she's very quick ) , also be prepared to get her to email you multiple times with every specific items. Like 'extreme close up of the zipper, 'Made in ' sign ' ect....

Let me know how it goes :)

also i just read the rest of your message, i jumped on the message and wrote quick haha. I havent heard of Memes Treasures, maybe theyre amazing and super quick. But Zeko is very reputable within the lux community, especially for Chanel bags, and I've also heard good things about Etinceler and Authentication4u, I've only used Zeko and was very happy personally :)

Great info! I’m a new member and just purchased a Chanel Maxi CF that I want to get authenticated. I’ve already paid for authentication certificate to Etinceler (last day to submit for service is 3/20) and now considering Zeko as well!

My vintage classic flap arrived today from poshmark. I decided to go my authenticator, as I only had 72 hours to authenticate before releasing funds to the seller, and I know they get back to me super fast.
My bag is definitely authentic

May I ask who you went to and got an authentication so quickly?

If you pay for rush with Zeko (which is worth it IMO) its 8-10 hours. On my last auth it took only 6 hours! What usually takes the most time is if you don't send the correct images upfront and have to resend for her to do a proper inspection. I've made that mistake a few times although she still is super quick to respond once you send all the right ones. The longest response I ever had to wait was overnight (sent in around 10P and I had a response by 6A next morning). She's fast. Worth the $50.

I went to Memes Treasures. I have gotten a vintage Paris limited edition authenticated there before and sold it to fashionphile to fund this vintage classic flap. I’m not sure how accurate they are at authenticating recent series, as they talk about series 17 and above having super fakes and it being hard to tell by just photos, but they worked for my vintage bags.

I’ll have to check her out! Thanks!

The difference in hardware and leather not necessarily means the item is fake unless the quality doesn’t match Chanel standard

so far the biggest telltale sign on older Chanel if it’s fake is from the serial number, if yours is 15 series it still can tell quite clearly if it’s authentic or not.

You may just resell it on Poshmark since they already authenticated it you shouldn’t have any trouble to recoup your money if you don’t want to keep it

You said that the pictures looked great right? Can you argue this as a case of bait and switch, just pointing out the fact that they r two different bags, without going into the authenticity issue? (Just a suggestion. I’m not familiar with postmark)

Agreed, I would like to see the original Poshmark listing. I am sorry that OP bought a fake bag - such a disappointment!

Did the Poshmark listing not show some of these telltale signs (and were they not apparent to the OP as she has "sold almost 5,000 Vintage Bags")? Or did the listing have photos of an authentic bag, but OP received a different (fake) bag?

I am not an authenticator or an expert but the stitching was a dead giveaway, even without seeing the interior, or examining the hardware. There aren't nearly enough stitches per quilted diamond facet (my understanding is that there should be at least 10 stitches).

Anyway, as others have said, Poshmark is no place to purchase high end pieces. I'm speaking as someone who has both sold and purchased there. There's just not enough oversight, & clearly the in-house 'authenticators' are worse than amateurs. I hope OP is able to recoup her money! And OP if you paid with AmEx, usually you are protected from fraudulent transactions - I think Visa probably has a similar policy, so definitely check that out if you paid plastic.
