Thank you
Wow really you can? I guess I just don’t have a good eye for colour then because I don’t notice any difference against my eternity. Can anyone else see this from the pics - please chime in if so?
It’s really difficult, especially when I look back at pictures - here’s one I took of the I against a smaller H and to me the I looks whiter - but it might just have been the way the light was catching it. (Bottom ring is the I)
I have an H and when I first bought it, I did not see the color. I thought it was so sparkly. Now I see the color and wish I had gotten the G. Once your eyes get more trained, and it will... once you see the faint hint of yellow...you cannot unsee it.
This is especially true if you wear it with another band that has higher color stones like your eternity. I have earrings too and I see the color difference compared to my earrings. Is it horrible? No. Does it bug me and make me sensitive to other diamond jewelry I buy? Yes.
Also, aside from what you see... mentally, would an I bother you? For some folks, they would never consider an I stone, so it’s also about what you are comfortable with what would make you proud. Go with what makes you proud to own it. If you feel you need to explain why you choose it to defend it, then I would think twice. And some people that are close to you will ask for specs, it’s just human nature.
For me, it’s more about color quality. I think one other poster also said I color resell is lower and I would agree... maybe you will never sell it, but the fact it’s not as much desired is a thought to consider too.
Maybe ask for an H... it would be a good compromise. To me, an H stone is on the edge of faint yellow, an I stone clearly will show faint yellow (see GIA definitions).
Good luck! And congratulations!
