^You're welcome! I really think the differences between the years are more subtle than they appear in pics. There is really not much difference between my 07 and 08's side by side.

i've been considering getting anthracite and my suspicion was that hardware plays a part in bringing out the undertones of anthracite. but nobody seem to talked about it (at least not those i've read). most people only compare the differences between the '08, 09 and '10 leathers and which one of them has more blue-ish or green-ish undertones.

i think GGH tends to make anthracite more green/blue and GSH makes it look more grey or have cooler undertones. ;)

GGH definitely brings out the blue tones in my Anthras and my silvers are less blue in tone. Someone once brought to my attention that when you put GGH Anthra next to SGH Anthra they are exactly the same color, but take them apart and they will look completely different. It's like the eyes are playing tricks on you.

what about RH? the differences i noticed are mostly with GSH and GGH. I find that RH makes anthra blue/green. Is that what you noticed too?

Very good point. My two 08 anthra bags were both RH and still differed quite a lot.

Here's a pic showing, clockwise from the top, anthra 08 work, plomb 07 city, anthra 08 courier.

^^^ The difference in the mirrors looks more pronounced, for sure, but it does mirror (excuse the pun) the actual difference in the bags too. Incredible, isn't it?

Below are some comparison shots. 08 Anthracite was only available for the Fall season that year. 08 Anthracite is the lightest of the three.

They're all so close in color; the differences are subtle. The midday and city have prominent blue undertones out in the sunshine. Check out these older pics when I first got the bags. Monitors do play a role in color translation so take that into account as well when viewing photos.

There is a big difference between my '07 Anthra and my '08 Anthra but...
my '07 has GGH and the '08 has RH .... hardware definitely throws me when comparing colors. My '07 is pretty light compared to my '08.
