Love the comparison shots, I have heard and head over heel for the 06 Liliac...but I know there isnt much chance for me to get one at all :cry: and how wonderful that they are making 09 Liliac however...why only limited in NM~~~I am curious about the fading as well.
^^I've heard Barney's is getting them too in September. NM ships internationally - so it might be worth a phone call to see if Barney's does too.
^^Livia - My SA today said that this first batch of limited edition lilac bags already sold out - BUT they *might* be a second batch coming, she wasn't 100% sure. If there is it might be worth calling and checking out as NM ships Internationally.
^^No problem. If I have time I'll try to take some photos in daylight tomorrow. Like I said the flash made the bag look much lighter than it is. The color is more true in the shots without flash - hopefully daylight will be easier to see!

^^Oh thank you RERE, you really should get one too! The 09 bag has pink undertones but not quiet as pink as the 04 (which was too close to "pink" most of the time for me). It really is a true lilac with no dusky undertones.
delmilano - your 06 first is beautiful - they ARE close! I haven't even used her yet - so I can't give a full review. The leather is very nice: soft and with some texture, not as matte as some s/s 09 bags I've seen. I'll have to update if I keep her and use her. That will be the real test (how she breaks in). It's interesting how much these bags can vary from bag to bag though. I guess that's the joy of Bal!
congrats beaux,09 lilac looks gorgeous and i must say that the leather of your lilac 09 city looks pretty close to my 06 lilac first which is even chèvre, not that shiny, no distressing, silky and totally different from my 06 lilac cp. i've seen some lilac day with the same leather as my cp but the lilac firsts the george V shop had at that time were all smooth and silky. the leather variation may show up on 09 bags too, and differ from one style to another. by the way, how do you like the agneau leather?

^^Thank you Estherping - I like my 09 bag color better than my 06 lilac accessories. It's a non-murky lilac. Very girly and pretty.

Oh, Beaux, you scored a very pretty piece! I haven't been bowled over by the other 09 Lilacs I've seen - I think they look too matte and too stiff - but I'm really liking yours! Your City looks plush and soft.
And I, too, prefer the 09 Lilac to the 06 Lilac (based on the comparison photos with your MU and CP) - the 09 Lilac is a very clear, lavender-based lilac. Very pretty. Can't wait to see pics of it in daylight AND your mod pics!

Thanks Beaux, I'm considering this. Only problem is with costums + VAT (danish VAT is 25%) this could end up being quite an expensive bag for me. I really am considering it though
