Will you resize your bracelet with local jeweler

they took out one link btw 1st and 2nd motif

1 link from4th n 5th motif

it makes the bracelet uneven but not obvious.

best resizing is to take out equal links in between each motif which I should have done.

I do think you'll like it better once they take out the other two links. I may try doing the same with my yellow gold bracelet the next time I go to a boutique.

Recs for Chanel newbie

Hello! Sounds like you're looking for new, is that correct? Wanted to confirm before responding. So far the sneak peak photos for fall/winter have included a lot of gold hardware. However, that doesn't mean there won't be a release of silver somewhere in there too.
Yes- ideally new. I’ve sort of come to the conclusion I should either buy a black woc with shw now, and wait to buy a larger bag when the next fall collection comes out, vs buy the classic black lambskin medium now. I suppose I’d like to see if there are any cool pinks/ reds/ or white with shw in the next collection.
Thanks for any advice.

Coach Ready-to-Wear

I’ve been into the 1941 bags for a while, but I too have been hesitant to spend so much on RTW. I did purchase a couple of silk scarves and a shearling muffler directly from COACH, all heavily discounted. As can be expected from the brand, the pieces are well constructed of high quality materials, especially the shearling.

Now that some years have passed, I’ve been able to find great deals on Poshmark and eBay for more substantial runway items, usually NWT and sometimes NWOT. In February I acquired the most gorgeous black and cream shearling hoodie from the Pre-Fall 2016 Collection (right before COACH branded their runway RTW as 1941). The MSRP is $1795 USD and I snagged a NWT in my size for $220 USD! It is by far the nicest piece of clothing I own, and is even more luxurious than my early release 1941 bags. It has a Lampo zipper like the ones premier designers use. I find the fit very flattering, while the shearling pocket details and full leather hood are fun and unique. Pockets also fit my iPhone X perfectly

I went a little nuts in quarantine and sold a lot of things in my closet. I then realized that I had some gaps in my wardrobe and started trying to build on it. Most of my clothes are not very expensive, but I do spend more on outerwear. I recently ordered three different jackets from COACH, all of which I’m currently waiting to receive. I found all of them at rock bottom prices and in the correct size! The first is a silk floral print bomber jacket that is completely different from anything I’ve seen. I believe it is from Spring 2016, though I don’t think the exact piece was worn on the runway. I’ve included an image of a similar jacket on the runway, as well pictures of the actual style. The retail price is $695 USD and I found it for $80 USD. This seems to be more of a lightweight layering jacket for warmer weather and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Though I may have to wait due to all the shipping delays.

The second jacket I purchased is one that I saw on the website years ago. I loved it, but it was too expensive and I was less comfortable with wearing bolder styles. I have since gained some confidence and just couldn’t resist picking up this beautiful light denim jacket with silver rivets from Spring 2015. Especially brand new for $72 USD, down from $695 USD. The western style is actually quite well suited to where I live, though I never ventured in that direction until now. COACH adds the right amount of edge to classic fashion, and it’s helped me try more things while still maintaining a focused and cohesive personal style.

I purchased the other two jackets to fill empty spots in my closet: I do not have a summer-appropriate jacket that pairs well with colourful floral prints, and the silk bomber fit the bill. I have just one very old, cheap, distressed denim jacket, and the only white jacket in my closet does not fit me well. It is also not great quality despite being a bit pricey, which is always so disappointing. The studded jean jacket will hopefully be a much more robust addition to my wardrobe. Apparently it is veryyy heavy due to all of that metal...

The third item I purchased is a varsity jacket, which is not a style I previously thought of myself wearing. I fell in love with the silhouette while scrolling through COACH runway photos, just another example of how Stuart’s designs make me want to expand my style in ways that never occurred to me. It is a wool blend with leather sleeves, quilted on the inside. It is also a factory piece, which does not bother me as long as the quality is up to par. I adore pink and black combos so I knew I had to have this one  MSRP is again $695, and I actually paid more for this one than the other two pieces combined at about $170 USD. It seems crazy that the boutique pieces could sell for much less than factory items, but I suppose it is all about demand!

I’ll try to post updates as I receive the items, in the meantime I would love to see more from everyone else!
Funny, I had the Black Shearling Hoodie, too, and I found the sizing to be completely off. It was a size 10 and fit like a size 6. I ended up rehoming it.

Oh wow, that is too bad! I am petite and most clothes do not fit well (even size 00P or XXS at the majority of stores). I purchased the hoodie in size 0, perhaps it does run small and that’s why it worked so well for me. Sorry to hear your experience was not the same, it is one of my favourite pieces :-(

How to repair nicks in patent leather Christian Louboutin heels?

I recommend that you fill the void with several thin layers of a product (I have used it, but have NO connection to/with the product) called Bondic . Each layer is “cured” by ultra violet light , supplied in the kit. It is a product used by dentists to adhere crowns.

Build up the layers (2-4)...be patient...to the level of the patent. Then use black shiny nail polish to blend the spot into the rest of the black patent.

This happens to us all. Not to worry. I’ve had more luck fixing thing like this myself than taking to a local shoe repair place. For a perfect fix, send to the certified Louboutin shop in NY or Paris. $$$$

Question about "spotty" caviar

Thanks for everyone’s responses! I just found this phenomenon so interesting bc unlike typical wear and tear or discoloration, it appears that the effect is also seen on parts of the bag that aren’t exposed, like on the double flap (as seen below), which leads me to wonder if it could even have something to do with how the leather was processed, or if it’s just a type of caviar more prone to this wear and tear overall.

Also, I hope it didn’t come off that I was insinuating this was a defect or anything, so I apologize if I offended anyone. I agree that this gives a unique look and adds character!

Fake VCA necklace

We can't authenticate here, and there are exact copies made so it would be difficult for anyone but VCA to confirm. It certainly has all the accompanying items including a COA. Individuals may mark things too low just to sell them quickly. Resale sites usually know the resale value is higher and sell for a higher amount. Maybe you were very lucky! If you really want to know, you can take the bracelet with COA to a boutique and ask to have the chain lengthened a small amount (if you want that done). It will cost $180 to lengthen, and they will refuse to do it if the item is a fake. I don't know if they'd check the COA in the boutique or whether it would go to the workshop before it was checked.

First espadrilles

Hi! Just got my first espadrilles.. I own many Chanel shoes and I have finally found an espadrille style and color I love. I’m not a fan of the traditional style and have always liked the backless ones. As Soon as I saw this color I knew I had to have it and cannot wait to wear it in the fall! I was indecisive about what size to get since I range anywhere from a 40/41... so I ordered a size 40 Because my SA told me that the leather will give a little and my foot will push in a bit more… I didn’t want to get a 41 because I was afraid that I would be swimming in the shoes once I broke them in.

How do you like them? I was thinking about buying these in black. Sadly I don't think they still have these gorgeous ones in stock.

Please help me decide on diamond

Another point that just struck me: visible difference, as in what the eye can perceive as visibly bigger as a standalone is usually a difference of around 20% by ct weight (of course this isnt scientific, but accurate in my experience). So to see a visibly bigger difference from your 1.75ct you’d need to go to 2.1ct by this metric (assuming both stones are cut to display average spread). If you held a 1.75ct and a 2ct together, the 2ct would look visibly slightly bigger to most people. But looking at it in isolation I doubt you could tell the difference.
So true! I honestly couldn’t tell which one is 1.75 and which one is 2ct when looking at them separately

Opinion Request: What age group is more likely to buy this bag?

Is this bag more likely to attract a younger, middle, or older age group?

Someone told me the bag would probably appeal to an older generation. I am not sure I agree but I can see where the design might share character from kiss lock bags which are obviously more traditional.

This particular bag is generic and is not made of the greatest material but it's available in purple, soft pink, bright pink, white, black, yellow, gold, grey, and teal with different flower accents for each.

It seems cute and purposeful for the function it serves but the material almost has a plastic kind of texture feel. Your thoughts?

IMHO it is for a younger age group.
