Which Bag Should I Purchase Next?

I have the small Dionysus in navy and it’s one of my favorite bags. It can go from cocktails to casual. And it holds more than one would think. I also think it has more style and presence than the Alma (which I also like and have almost bought on occasion).

So, my strong vote goes for the Dionysus.
Having the small Dionysus in pink is definitely causing me to favor the beige Dionysus in this situation because I already know I love the design/functionality and I know what to expect. I think I'll ultimately get both the Gucci and the LV, it's just a matter of which one will be first haha.

Dior Montaigne in Oblique or Blue grained calfskin

I really like this color. I just asked my SA and she said it is a seasonal color. The only thing she can find in this color would be a mini saddle, but its too small for me.

It it comes in the montaigne 30, it will be perfect.

i have not seen sky blue in person though and not sure if i should pass and wait for sky blue in the future (if it does even get produce again) or just go with the denim blue.

Since you have seen both in person, which color do you prefer?
To be honest I prefer the sky blue color just because I am obsessed with baby blue. If there is any way you can find your bag in sky blue or any chance I think it is worth the process. However, the denim one is gorgeous in real life as well and equally elegant. Good luck

Louis Vuitton

Alma is so great! I would buy her (again) in a second. She is a classic, and nothing at all like Speedy, as she is structured Vs. a duffle shape, and has a leather bottom. She is light, lockable and getting hard to find, especially in MM Mono.

Hi! Do you find that the Alma is still holding its shape pretty well after a few months/years of use?

Love my velvet Vicky! Any care tips?

I've been searching for a YSL bag that makes my heart sing and I was originally pining for the YSL Jamie, but that order got cancelled by Neiman (still pretty upset about it)

Anyway, fast forward today and this little velvet beauty arrived and I def had heart eyes I love the size of it and how I can fit so much stuff! The only thing I'm meh about is the chain is a bit on the heavier side. But I mean I'm not going to be wearing it every day, so it's fine.

My question is: does anyone have any care tips for velvet?

Is anyone just over Chanel?

For many of us, the damage is done wrt poor quality and far too much dilution of the brand. It just doesn’t feel special or exclusive anymore. I was at SCP yesterday and walked past Chanel with zero interest. (Ok, I did turn my head back to check out the pretty cool black sequin flap in the display, but not enough to tempt me to stand in line for a closer look).

One thing I don’t understand is people saying they don’t want to “play the game” with Hermes. There are no games. You either love the brand or you don’t. If you’re just after a bag, then you’re buying it for the status, not the love of the bag/brand.
I don't know if I agree that people want the bag just for "status" .. yes I'm sure that many do play the game for that reason, but there are definitely people like me who admire a Birkin for it's superior quality, the fact that it's a classic and an heirloom piece that can be passed down to my daughters. But at the same time, I'm not into their jewelry, rtw, dishes, etc. I find very limited items useful and worth spending on, like belts and shoes but I'd never be able to get a bag offer with such limited purchases. Therefore, no point for me even attempting to "play the game" and no way would I pay reseller prices. With Chanel, I appreciate that I can buy only what I'm interested in, and I really love a lot of their handbags, just have to be very selective due to quality control.

New 'rules' for buying quota bags UK?

In fact, the wish list works as a guideline for the SA to track what their customers wants as they have many customers wanting b/k. For me, I had built a very good relationship with my SA and she knows what I want/like.

I do have a wish list too but she doesn’t follow closely to that- Since she knows my preference and taste. For eg. I put in k25 for my wish list along with the colour I wanted. But she recently contacted me to visit the boutique as she has a nice surprise for me. And she offered me a birkin 25 in the colour I wanted instead of the kelly 25 that I had put on my wish list. She told me I can still reject it if I don’t want it even though she knew I wouldn’t hahaha.

And yes it’s true that they prefer locals vs tourists as locals are always here rather than tourists who just come by for a 1-2 time purchase and they don’t really see them again sometimes. Unless they know the customer will potentially return to london numerous times in a year. At the end of the day, they still want us to have continuous spending from time to time.
Same experience. I personally don’t think the Wish List system has changed the processes.

Regardless of what I put down in the system, I still get calls if my SA thinks that I might be interested in something from the new shipment. The profile and relationship with the SA is still the key..

Just some thoughts. Let’s say they have a shipment of 10 bags coming in store today. 7 SAs put down their customers name for 7 bags and SM approved it. Then for the remaining 3 bags (maybe unpopular or no SA applied to it yet) , they may look at the wish list system to look for customer who put down this specs and call them?

Help me decide!! So Black Mini vs 19 Light Beige?

Thanks! That’s kinda of what I’m leaning to . What I like about this beige is the fact that it’s light and in goatskin so hoping for it to be more durable?

I have the 19 in lambskin and can confirm that it’s durable. I don’t baby my bags and have used it quite a bit - it still looks new. I do use an organizer and a base shaper to help keep the structure, though.

Small woven pouch—lopsided?

Searching for the best Prada as a work bag!

I don't carry a laptop or any office files on a daily basis, so I can't recommend one Prada or another for this scenario. But I completely agree with you that the leather and colorway you're interested in look absolutely stunning and those older Prada bags are simply amazing.

I would recommend going for a bag with a zipper, though. And preferably get a base shaper or some sort of an organizer if you plan on carrying a laptop or other heavy items to prevent the bottom of the bag from sagging and getting distorted.
