Beautiful bags!!! Keep the caviar and get the lamb. I see no problem with having 2 black flaps. Caviar for day and lamb for evening. Go for it!

I had one bag a few years ( the croc mini embossed gold) which I loved at the time but after a year I felt the bad was too harsh and not a soft color with my wardrobe. Upon listing it, I was shocked to find that the price was so marked up - I made money on the bag! Wasn’t expecting it and it was a nice surprise so I will say you can gamble and sell in a few years when it runs out or sell it now and most probably break even or have it sell slightly more. I know the iridescent pink bags also have a fan following and was even asked by a friend if I would let it go since she can’t find it. Chanel does crazy things to people

I am NOT an expert on Givenchy bags, but I've been doing lots of reading up lately. This is a quote from lovethatbagetc.com, "
Serial numbers, also known as date codes, on the Givenchy Antigona follow a clean and consistent format, typical of LVMH bags, with a slight twist. The serial number will include 6 or 7 characters composed of numbers and letters (i.e. 3C1125 or MP B 0157). The first two or three characters refer to the location of the product's manufacturing, with the four ending numbers referring to the time of its manufacturing. Similar to Louis Vuitton bags, the 1st and 3rd numbers represent the week that the bag was made and the 2nd and 4th numbers represent the year it was made.

The Antigona was first introduced in AW 2011 so date codes should not predate this. "

I have found the serial numbers stamped into the reverse side of the leather hang tag on the inside of the bag (the one that says "GIVENCHY" and then "MADE IN ITALY". They can be difficult to see. Hope that helps!

Another vote for Siena PM. It’s honestly not my very favorite in terms of looks, but the functionality and comfort is amazing. It’s structured yet still sits across the body nicely, has internal organization, and is spacious. The Speedy is a classic but I’m not a huge fan of the rounded look when worn crossbody, and I don’t like the double zipper and narrow opening.

Also at the same time (March 2020) I bought a 16 series Chanel Clutch with Chain (caviar/shw) for around US$2200 with receipt. The RRP was around US$3100 in 2012.

In December 2019, I bought a 28 series medium flap (caviar/ghw) in brand new condition with full receipts and packaging for US$4100. The seller bought it in Europe, so with the VAT refund, she sold it at almost the price she paid for.

wow you got really lucky because now everything is supppppeeerrrr expensive. So expensive that I might as well buy new from the boutique.

Yes I was desperate for the Chanel pearl bag. And they claimed to have it. I wanted to post here so that everyone in the community be aware of this business. please spread this information to others as well. I looked up the owner/operator names: Achanti Alexander whom I found a Facebook account
The other owners named Lauren Osburne whom I I could not find anything about her.

definitely hammered gold. You can wear it every day without worry of scratching. anything with stones is better for earrings or necklace.

Hi all,

I am so much in LOVE with the vintage seasonal Chanel bags, that I just cant stop buying :-)

I have tried to search soft leather here, and on google, but it is not much that comes op. I have a vintage sesaonal soft caviar flap bag that is on the way that has to have some leather work done. So I am trying to find out more.

Honestly, I think Gucci is putting out higher quality bags right now than Chanel. And I say this as a hard core C fan. And, LV leather bags are reputed to also be wonderful quality (haven’t bought one yet so I can’t speak from experience.) So, depending on what model of bags you’ve bought, you may already have ones that will last long enough to be inherited.

What you should buy next really depends on your style and taste. For example, I give much respect to Hermès for being classic and exceptionally well made. I love them for others but don’t like the styling for me.

Have you looked at Dior? The workmanship is outstanding but the style is quite different from LV & Gucci so it may not work for you. Celine is also known for great quality. Perhaps take a look at their offerings as well.
