Leather dilemma! First Birkin

I do not believe a Togo can develop veining over time, that’s the first time I’ve actually even heard that idea.
The rippling could also be called wavy, I suppose. It’s basically the epsom leather wanting to slouch due to weight and age but is unable to do so gracefully due to the structure of the leather and tightness of the seams. Here is a random pic I found on google images where you can see the puckering from the edges...

Thank you. That’s certainly something to look out for. I’ve seen a thread on here about a ‘wavy’ Epsom birkin and it looked awful!

Can you do a return from Department Store @ a Stand Alone?

I just came back from LV store. I was trying to return a card holder bought in Nordstrom LV in Seattle. but I am in NJ. They said they cannot refund and even a credit is not possible as its leased LV in department store and also there are different state taxes involved. Finally the manager stepped in and said, I can pick exact same value. So I exchanged to another canvas. I think its discretion of manager.

5PFW - 5 Piece French Wardrobe

So since I started in Jan, I decided that I was starting with fall/winter. I am doing OK-ish.

This is what I put in another thread as my near term fashion goals.

I have a sort of wishlist that needs developing. But the items that are on my list for the year so far:
leather jacket
pink top(s)
black croc boots
gold hoops
pink winter coat

Purchases so far:
  • Gold earrings hoop-is earrings
  • Blush pink wool coat (I am tempted not to count this one, as it has been on my list for a few years - non neutral, dark colored winter jacket)
  • black moto leather jacket
  • Eileen Fisher silk crepe pants (impulse buy on clearance)
  • royal blue satin jumpsuit (this was an impulse - mystery box from Universal Standard - the one keeper)
  • denim shirt dress from Target - this is TBD, I ordered and it is on the way
What I am thinking about for spring:

No more insole stamp?

Neiman Marcus doesn't sell fakes. I don't think you have to worry. I've ordered many pairs of CLs from them. If you end up ordering them, let us know if they have the insole stamp or not
I didn't think they would. Everything they sell are legit and haven't heard any negative reviews about them or situations where they're called out for selling fakes. It just baffles me that they provided some pictures of Louboutin heels without the stamp which can be a little concerning from my perspective. I haven't bought from them, however. I usually buy my Louboutin heels directly from the official website, or some other various sites where the heels get authenticated like Poshmark or Tradesy.

Anybody heard and have experience with Memorie jewelry?

Here's a picture from someone I know with a 2ctw Memoire ring, so five .40 stones. As you can see, it is about as wide as her finger can manage. I think she wears around a size 6. Her diamond engagement ring was upgraded through Whiteflash, so I feel like if she did the 5 stone ring over again, she'd use Whiteflash this time.

Thank you so much for the picture. And your comment. This helps me tremendously.
Thank you you just saved me from making a expensive mistake

Hardware turning green?

T
That’s what it looks like to me...hardware is tarnishing.
I would not use any chemicals on it.
Perhaps, a little Baking Soda on a Q-tip or as @atlantis1982 suggested, some leather cleaner on a Q-tip will do the trick.
Thanks! I will try that and see if it doesn't come back. It's disappointing on what would have been such an expensive bag.

Show your mon monogram mini pochette

Thinking of customised a mini pochette since it is so hard to get the normal one these days.

I wonder if ladies here could possibly post some photos of your mon monogram mini pochette here for reference?

Also, anyone ordered this and have to wait longer than normal for it to arrive during this period?
Have u tried ordering your mini pochette in store? I made a full payment for a monogram mini pochette with a wait period of 3 to 6 months.

Stinky LV metis and what dehumidifier did to it

Hi did you find out if LV could help. Same issue here. Im afraid to use it incase folk think im wearing 10day old socks 😪
Hi, I found out the bag was recalled due to faulty glue or whatever. My bag looked pristine too. Basically I went to boutique and requested repair. Repair called asking for money. I said FU and said I found it was defective bag from media so you better fix it. They have store credit the amount I paid. Unfortunately they could not replace it with PM (classic one). I had limited edition one, obviously it is discontinued, they refuse to downgrade model and give classic one as they increased price. Honestly from my new bag I still smell same bad glue (very tiny amount) so I would never buy another LV bag.

Customer service issues

Hi everyone, so last week I purchased an in stock padded cassette bag directly from the Bottega Veneta website and the experience has been hell. First of all in checkout it stated that my item would ship expedited but my order still says processing almost a week later. Second I’ve tried reaching out to customer service via phone and have had no luck. I stayed over an hour without anyone connecting with me. So then I attempted to contact them via email and it stated that they would respond within 24 hours but again no one has reached out to me. What’s going on? At this point I’m going to attempt to cancel the order and move on but has anyone else had an experience with this brand like this? It’s been hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with a luxury brand.
@TheLuxeBoheme I agree with @bmk33 - but I wouldn't cancel the order just yet - reach out to your SA at a Bottega Veneta store closest to you (it doesn't matter if it's several hours or more away from you) and work with a human being on this.

Looking for reputable consigner to sell my item in London

With handbag clinic ta
With handbag clinic they bought my Celine which was brilliant but this was a couple of years ago and I don't think they like doing that as much now. I recently consigned a Gucci bag with them but it didn't sell so I just asked for it to be returned so I could sell privately. If you consign with handbag clinic you will get a decent price I think but not guaranteed to sell. Just in the last week I have sold 2 items on HEWI so maybe give them a look? They take about 20% commission
Thanks again! I will def check them out. Is that 20% all they take if they buy the bag from you or just what is deducted when you consign with them?
