Hello, I purchased today my 22A Small Deauville Tote in Black... I succumbed to it because it’s very low key.... the Chanel letters are not too flashy..... I know this season two Small sizes were released, and mine is in the smallest size.... I wanted to know if there are other members who bought this lovely bag in either of the Small sizes? I would love to hear your thoughts, and share feedback....

Last April, I received an onyx vintage alhambra pendant as a gift purchased off the secondhand market which did not bother me because it was in brand-new condition. I’ve worn it happily for over a year now but recently took it to my jeweler for cleaning (don’t live near VCA boutique currently)…jeweler asked me gently if I was aware my item was not genuine as I told him it was a gift…Apparently he works with VCA a lot. My item is actually real 18k gold, the motif is spot on, but he says the chain links of the necklace are slightly thinner than authentic, and the VCA engraving on the clasp is a different font.

This has really annoyed me to say the least…I’m planning on replacing it but need help deciding between the Cartier 2 diamond Love necklace and another (authentic lol) VCA Vintage alhambra (onyx, carnelian, or all gold).

Cartier pros/cons: I tried this on in store (forgot to take pics) but I absolutely loved how it fell on my neck, the shorter chain length was awesome as I’m somewhat petite. I love the double strand feature as well. I also—and I get more into this below—appreciate the subtlety of the design; it’s not as common as a love bracelet imo and isn’t too flashy. Although there are no cons here I guess My concern is getting this and then MISSING the slight flashiness hahaha

VCA pros/cons: Having already owned it I know I’ll love it, I think the colored stones or hammered gold stand out a bit more on my skin rather than just plain polished gold, the clover design is also slightly more feminine imo. Cons; I don’t like taking my necklaces off ever (my 14k/18k gold layering pieces always stay on) and the upkeep required of VCA stones is probably a barrier to this (although honestly onyx and carnelian are the hardiest stones, so I’d wear them 24:7 and pay to replace if needed…) Last con—I wore my VCA all the time this year (as a college student) but next year I’ll be graduating and entering the workforce. As a junior level employee I really want to keep my jewelry subtle, and I feel like wearing a VCA to the office everyday is a bit flashy? No the vintage itself is not a super over the top piece but I do think it’s more recognizable (as an expensive item) than the Love necklace which unlike its bracelet counterpart is less common. So I worry about not getting everyday wear from it…but on the other hand I know I loved my old one so much. Lol. Help and input appreciated!

I came across this recently while thinking about my next designer bag and really love the look. I've always had a bit of a thing for that doctor bag structured look. I can't find much information on it though since it was discontinued. How has it held up, did it come in both calfskin and vegetable tanned, did the calfskin in black still have a red interior, was there only a mini size and then the large travel holdall or any other size? All info would be really appreciated!

Would love opinions on the two tone Cartier panthere watch. I feel like the SS is too casual and the YG is too dressy and formal. Is the two tone best of both worlds?

Hello everyone, this is my first time creating a thread on tpf I can't seem to find a recent thread about this question, so please feel free to let me know if there is already an existing one.

My friend and I have been wondering, for those who have hired regular and hourly house keepers for your home, do you hide your valuable items from your cleaners? With more theft and robbery going on these days, we have yet to hire any outside help to deep clean the house because of this very worry. Are insurance and placing items (including let's say Hermès change trays, and anything that can give one away) in the safe enough to lower the risk? Or would it be a good idea to even buy a few affordable bags to fill the closet display cabinets so the closet doesn't look pretentiously empty?

Or are my friend and I just over thinking all this? Thank you very much in advance for any input!!

A sudden change of heart happened. I saw my bonus and it seems I can spend a bit more. Speedy 30 in DE has been in my list for ages now but I never pulled the trigger and now it's quite expensive. I had a look at brand new and I can see the pros of buying it new which is of course, I'm the first user, I get it as a complete set and the aftercare might be easier (? - please correct me if I'm wrong). However, the biggest con is the price tag. It now cost 2260!it used to cost 1750 last time I looked at it.

Now I saw one in a site called Amore Vintage. Its in great Co diction with some tarnish on the hardware. It doesn't come with the lock and ket or the dustbag. But it will cost 1400 plus customs tax of around 300. Biggest pro is the price. But I'm also a bit worried that its shipped from Japan and the risk of course that for some reason it might get damaged or lost during shipping. And that the aftercare in an LV store might not be easy at all since I won't have it's original receipt.

Any thoughts on this? Also.. Is a speedy worth buying brand new or 2nd hand? For the 500 dollar difference (which isn't much I think), which one will be the best value for my money?

Wanted to maybe get some comments if anyone has had experience requesting partial refunds or price reduction refunds when getting defective items??
I recently bought a Balenciaga Hourglass bag at LN-CC on their latest sale at a pretty awesome deal, but when I received the bag I noticed some defects. A few marks and on the corner of the flap there's some noticeable wrinkles on the leather, like if someone was opening the bag multiple times from that corner...
Anyway, I was very disappointed but since I got a great deal on it (around 50% off and can't find it for a similar price anywhere else) I though I might keep it, cause it's mostly noticeable up close, and maybe request a partial refund or a price reduction refund to keep it.

I've been back and forth with customer service, and they offered me a $250 "refund" in the form of a gift voucher, not ideal cause there's nothing I like at that price and don't want to make another large purchase to use the discount. Not sure how to proceed... Any experiences with that store, dealing with refunds, or advice? Thanks!!!!

Took the plunge a purchased a pre-owned Nano Belt which is in pristine condition except for a slightly bent out of shape handle. It lists to one side rather than being symmetrical. Any tips to help re-train the shape of it?

Has anyone experienced an issue when trying to clean spots from the interior of a vintage keepall? I just bought one from a reseller and attempted to get out some spots using a few things which included Shout stain remover, Dawn dish detergent and lastly Folex carpet spot remover. The water I used to clean the spots left water marks at the edges of where the water went. I've not experienced this with other LV interiors. Is there a way to get that water mark out now? I've searched on YouTube but haven't found anything. Thanks in advance

Fell in love with vintage coach bags shortly discovering them only a few years ago. Prices then were much less expensive where I could find bags easily for $50 to $100 Cdn including shipping and duties. Now that Coach Retail is marketing them and reselling them for huge $$$$ like almost four figures, finding prices have jumped on the resell market. Trying to keep my limit still to $100 Cdn with shipping and duties included.

I purchased a Coach Parker 32 brand new at the beginning of this year and the front and back of the bag are caving in. It is leaving wrinkles across the front and back and it is supposed to be smooth leather. It has been stuffed when it is not in use. Is this a quality issue with this bag?

I stayed at the courtyard Marriott CDG airport hotel about 3 weeks ago, and because I was aware of the delays and lost luggages in the airport recently, I decided to use UPS to send my hermes shopping back home, It contains a wrap coat, constance bag and destin loafer. I gave this package to the hotel reception staff and told them I have arranged for UPS to pick it up on the same day so please hand it to UPS. After a long trip, I finally made it back home and found out hotel staff gave my package to their Local post office instead. Up to now it has been 3 weeks, they couldn't even find my package and keep saying the driver will bring it back or give it to UPS from the beginning but nothing happened at all! I have contacted their managers every couple days, but they are not very helpful and sound very annoyed, just repeating the same thing in the past 3 weeks. I am quite frustrated and thinking of taking legal action against the hotel, what you guys think?

I was looking at the Vintage Janice bags on the Coach website and noticed a significant price difference between the Janice's with the silver nickel hardware, or the brass hardware!

This Janice bag here with the nickel hardware is $695.00

Sure makes the old saying, "The only thing consistent about Coach, is they are not consistent" ring true, doesn't it? lol!

If anyone has a clue what's going on here, I'd sure love to hear your thoughts. My theory is that perhaps the nickel hardware is more rare and harder to find? I do know I have trouble finding it myself so that is what I am going by. What do you think it could be? The country made in perhaps? Or could it just be different charges depending who refurbished it? I don't know, I think it's got to be the hardware! Excuse me while I fight with myself! lol! Or is it simply a price hike from one year to the next? What on earth could it be?!
