Carolina Herrera Handbags

Thought I would start a thread on CH bags! I enjoy some of their styles and a boutique just opened in my area so I'm planning to check out in person. Looks like they started online sales back in 2020 too. Does anyone have any thoughts on the brand? The history and quality? Reviews or a WL? The materials look top notch! Gold plated hardware.

A few I'm considering:

Kats_heels - My Louboutin Collection and Updates

Hi everyone! I'm Kat from the UK. I've been looking though the forum at all the amazing posts which sparked me to start my own thread to show some of my Louboutin Collection.

I've been collecting for around 3 years now and have amassed around 30 pairs (and about 10 beat up pairs), some of which I've been lucky enough to have bought for me.

Please feel free to say hi, looking forward to speaking to some like minded Louboutin addicts x20220601_143403.jpg20210915_130612 - Copy.jpg20210213_150452.jpg

Vintage Coach City Bag or Vintage Bucket Bag? Which to choose?

Hi, I am new to owning a vintage Coach and I am in a pickle. I love them all, but especially I am torn between purchasing the City Bag and The Bucket Bag. I would love to hear your opinions; pros and cons of either or both. What you like about them, what you don't. You have the experience, and while I know it comes down to personal preference and needs, I would just love to know what you think. Thanks in advance! :)

Chanel grocery flap bag, does anyone own it?

Hello, I am thinking of venturing into Chanel, and saw a preloved Chanel grocery drawstring flap bag that I thought looked good! I was wondering does anyone own one or have any knowledge of it? Is it good for resale if I don’t love it? It’s the medium size in black! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am looking at a black one, not orange!

Hermès fringed hems - what to keep in mind?

I'm considering an Hermès scarf with a fringed hem (and also the 135 wool/silk blend from Sabina Savage). However, I'm worried about the loose hems. I have a Gucci shawl (80% wool 20% silk) with a fringed hem which I bought last year and it already has a run! Would I have to be very careful when tying and do they get tangled with prolonged wear?

(If anyone can let me know how they got on with their Sabina Savage wool/silk scarves and how they compare to Hermès', please let me know - sorry about asking it here...)

Any advice welcome, thank you so much and apologies for the question bombardment!

Surgeon (pref in the States w/ experience on thin facial skin) for a sharp thin 'TV nose' (explanation within)after accident altered my primary rhino?

^ What it says on the tin, essentially.

tl;dr Any recommendations for excellent rhinoplasty surgeons who turn out lasting thin-bridged, narrow tip, narrow alars, and a 'pointy' (I'm not talking extreme but as opposed to droopy or hyperextended or twisted or rounded...oh, you know) that are telegenic/photogenic for career and vanity purposes, please hit me up via PM or otherwise! (I am committed to confidentiality. Also, I'm basically describing my OG nose aside from a sharpened tip)

I had a rhinoplasty, oh, decades ago (I am being vague on purpose; the primary surgeon was a well-respected practitioner at the time). Sure, it had been some time and my nose altered; I went on consultations but ultimately didn't feel the need to undertake nonsurgical intervention on it (read between the lines...). During the pandemic someone very close to me passed on, and I ended up injured in a series of unfortunate events. Freak accident, really. Now the bridge is odd, the columella hanging, and a side of the tip is forced sideways. It doesn't look like a natural occurrence, but an accident, and the pity I get...really hurts? am I allowed to say that?

I'm mixed-race Korean but with what might term a notably Caucasian-type nose (narrow, high, thin tip/alars) and very thin skin (i.e., in Seoul, I couldn't stuff an immaculate implant in there as the skin won't drape naturally over the structure. I've seen beautiful work done on patients with thicker skin (and thick skin is slower to age, bonus!)). prior to the injury, a surgical fix to the bridge and a bit of fiddling about to refine the tip was NBD to most experienced (Western) surgeons. I should note that I feel most comfortable with Korean surgeons in eye work and facial contouring due to my phenotype and desired outcome, but my personal pref is to someone who is experienced and delivers 3D results with this type of nose. I have not had any invasive surgeries prior to the primary rhino. Also, I'm in my mid 30s if that's relevant. Now I've actually sustained a trauma - I had to be evaluated by a trauma surgeon ffs - ... I'm not fooling myself that this is dire and unfixable - but a) I've seen so many botch jobs, and b) the in-elective alteration to my facial infrastructure is really, really taking a hit to my confidence and self-esteem, not least as I was slated to be on camera for aesthetic reasons/as a spokesperson for a project (I am being vague for a reason, please respect this) for a farrago of professional reasons later this year. The asymmetry and unevenness isn't photogenic nor telegenic, nor something that can be fixed with a bit of filler and botox. Can't fix everything in post or with a bit of HA filler...

I would appreciate it greatly you kindly did not quote the above - but perhaps shared your own personal experiences, or suggestions as to where I might go from here, or recommendations for rhinoplasty surgeons who do excellent work, particularly if they are operating on a nose which has previously had a surgery and now a slight injury (I have my Op report and documentation). I am rather desperate at the moment and it pains me to admit this - I have built my life on not evidencing vulnerability - and to confess this to strangers who might ridicule me is, y'know, hard!

Thank you.

Tory Burch Canvas or Nylon Ella?

I need a work bag for my new job. I want to appear tidy but not showy. The bag needs to accommodate a 14 inch heavy Dell, lunch, and gym clothes (lunchtime gym on my floor). I think the Ella will be perfect and love the nylon except for one thing, the sag might drive me nuts if it's super saggy. To be honest, I haven't handled it much and only just discovered this bag.

The canvas seems to stand up better, but I'm not crazy about the extra weight.

I've heard there is a quilted nylon and wonder if those keep their shape a little better.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Many thanks!

Question about the Ecrou de Cartier

After almost a year of wearing my WG Love bracelet, I'd like to buy myself something new. Once I get my second piece, I don't plan on adding anything else to my collection. Honestly, I feel like having a stack of two is probably pushing what I can pull off xD

But I wanted to add a WG Ecrou. After doing a very basic search on the website I noticed there's a regular version, and a non rhodium version. I tend to like a nice worn in look which I think the non rhodium model accomplishes, right? Is there a difference that I should be aware of?

Anyone have any RL photos of the non rhodium Ecrou?

Birkin Sellier at the Real Real?

So, I went into the Real Real, and they had a "Birkin Sellier." I asked to see it. The minute they handed it to me it looked a bit "off." But then I opened it, and the Hermes stamp wasn't in the normal spot on the outside of the bag, under the flap, but on the INSIDE of the bag. The sales person told me that Hermes often stamps its Birkin Selliers on the inside. Is this true? Has anybody ever gotten a Birkin Sellier from Hermes directly stamped on the inside?

Stacking round bangles with love bracelet

Hi loves
I’m thinking to get a diamond bangle to stack with my love bracelet and possibly the JUC. The ones I’m looking at is in a round shape instead of oval shape. I really like the bangles but a bit worried that the round shape won’t stack well with oval cartiers. Have you guys had any experience stacking a round bangle with love bracelet? If you can share photos, that’d be great! Thank you in advance

Hermes watch question

I am considering this gorgeous blue Hermes watch. I am into dainty jewelry and want something I can wear daily and won’t compete with my planned stack of fine jewelry bracelets. I realize it’s a lot of bling. I am obsessed with blue and white gold. I tried a Rolex in the past and found it too large. Any opinions regarding Hermes watches are appreciated. TIA. What kind return label you get when returning at NM, Bloomingdales, etc

Hi

I recently returned a bag worth 5k at NM. Package was dropped on 5th Aug. Tracking details were showing arrival on 10th initially and now 15th as delayed due to some reasons.

How has been your return experience at these stores? I have returned a Louis Vuitton item before which was purchased online. They promptly provided the priority shipping lable and I received my refund within 3-4 days. It’s frustrating because if something comes available, i have a dependency of receiving the refund first.

Thank you
