Happy New Year, everyone!

I am considering purchasing a pre-loved Black Epi Alma PM size and am torn between the GWH or the SHW.

I am rapidly approaching my mid-50’s and “classics” can sometimes look a bit frumpy if they are not styled correctly. I know the Alma style bag is a classic…. But do you think the GHW is currant or out of date? Or do you think SHW is still the most relevant in 2023?

I used to own and was absolutely SMITTEN with an H boxcalf birkin with GHW because the GHW and that smooth leather was positively drool-worthy and didn’t scream “old lady” when I was dressed quite chic. I no longer own that bag but am trying to get a bag that gave me that similar feeling: being up to date and chic but classic and elegant at the same time.

I wear all color jewelry, so this isn’t a huge issue. My hair naturally was auburn had gold highlights, but now I am older I am more silver and the overall color of my hair has cooled considerably the past few years and will continue to do so. My wardrobe consists mainly of navy and white with some grey and black pieces, and then pops of color (aqua, teal, and bright clear pinks). No earth-tones for me…. But I do love a caramel colored bag for that “pop” against navy. Finally, my style is mostly classic/minimalist with some modern twists (asymmetrical hems and zippers like Rick Owens, etc.). Not too edgy, but more classic and elegant, if that makes sense.

Hi ladies! I got the blue agate bracelet yesterday (only one they had in stock in the 5th ave store), and I’m absolutely in love with it. I also tried on a second bracelet (white gold guilloche) and loved how that looked (almost got that over agate). I tried on the yellow gold and it almost blended in with my skin tone and didn’t have the wow factor of the WG.

I really want to get another one to stack with the blue (as a treat to myself for recently getting promoted at work), but it seems like the WG guilloche is more of a standalone piece (I like how it looks with my engagement ring). So, I think the white MOP would be better to stack and also turn into the bracelet since the guilloche would look too mismatched with the Agate.

So…should I get the white gold guilloche that I love or get the white MOP since it goes better with the agate? Seems like there’s not really a lot of white gold stacking options.

The bracelet is also super loose on me but I don’t mind it. The SA recommended taking out links, but I’m worried if I take out too many I can’t combined two for a necklace. Has anyone taken out links and still use as necklace? He also said clipping the bracelet with one motif hanging out good damage the clasp long term.

I like that I can slip the bracelet on and off without opening the clasp right now. But I’m also worried that it would fall off or get damaged from banging onto something.

So two questions:

1. Should I get the WG guilloche as a second piece or stick to yellow gold motifs? I guess I can wear both separately but I think it’d look weird as a necklace. Which one looks better on my wrist?

2. Does anyone else with smaller wrists not get them shortened? Can you link two bracelets as a necklace if you take out links? Do you think I should shorten it? My wrists are 14cm for reference. I wear a size 16 love and 15 JUC.

Hello!. Years ago I posted how I live far from any Hermes. Since then I have bought Birkins from one resale site . Both bags look brand new and I am happy I went that route. I got the colors I want and just bought what I needed. I still wish I lived closer to a store or my kids were older to travel more but oh well for now. Ok my question is.. I have always wanted a particular color bag. There is one for sale but it's been touched up . Is that a deal breaker for others. I like my items to look fairly new so being touched up uff. But the color hasn't been out in years and there is almost none ever for sale on any of the resale markets as I have been looking. I don't plan on selling it but you Never know as time goes on maybe I will sell it since it was painted . Maybe I just won't sell it since I have loved that color for years now and I can just enjoy it knowing it's not perfect and just use it regularly. It's priced over a brand new one at retail so it pains me that I can't live near a store but again oh well. That is my life.

Does anyone here have (or ever had) a Nomade Speedy 30? Could you please post pictures of it? I am seriously interested in purchasing one and want to verify a few possible inconsistencies. There are only a limited number of photos still out there on these bags and I would hate to be looking at photos of a fake one and using those to compare this bag with.

But he is not as un-important as all that.
King Charles III of the United Kingdom is his first cousin. Maximilian is related to most of the nobility in Europa.
It will be interesting to see how many of them will come to his funeral.

In Germany, all the nobility has abdicated after the First World War.
Else Maximilian would have been the Grand-Duke of the Grand-Duchy of Baden - until yesterday.

Our regional newspaper "Badische Neueste Nachrichten = Newest News of the Land of Baden" expects these persons to attend the funeral celebrations:

Kings and Queens of Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Spain
Prince of Monaco and Prince of Liechtenstein.

We'll see.

There are especially good reasons for the Queen Silvia of Sweden and Queen Sophia of Spain to attend.

I bought this LV MULTI POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES in bicolor empreinte leather in September 2021. I work from home so I don’t wear it much. However today I found the leather seemed to peeled off at the corners of the Small Pochette. I am not sure what’s wrong with it as I am very careful with designer bags. Also, I’d like to know if LV can repair it? Any advice is appreciated.

I really looks the look of the mini Nolita but I am very concerned because it’s calfskin. I have never had a calfskin bag and usually pick grained leather so it lasts longer. Does the Ysl la skin scratch super easily? Will it end up looking bad? I’m not super rough on my bags but I don’t feel like buying something I have to baby.

Pope Benedict XVI passed away today. I heard that “the pope died” and had to look it up. I was so relieved that it was not Francis, because though he has his faults historically; I find him to be a wonderful example of what we can aspire to in love and kindness. I don’t think many of the Catholics among us were very touched by Benedict. I’m sure he did his duty as best he could, and of course he was selected specifically with the idea that he would not have the role long after the death of the more beloved JPII (due to age, not imagining retirement).​

Looking to expand my little collection which has changed over the years / sold #2 along with a couple of caviar shoulder bags and a perforated drill/ still kicking myself having parted with pic #3 -so rare / looking for suggestions/ Boy? / Larger classic flap? / or in a totally different direction- Lady Dior? Hello - looking for someone with the Lumineuse GM to tell me if the two shoulder straps will go on with one hand (i.e. pass the elbow test) and if they will fit over a winter coat.
