I swear I saw this somewhere before but I'm unable to relocate the thread : are you able to remove the rivets from the handles? I'd love to preserve my rivets and to reuse them for new straps.
Any info or posts on the matter are very much appreciated!

I’m going to buy a new SLG to go with my bags (all browns, beiges, tans - neutrals!) and unsure about this beige one. I’m getting the matching colour (mushroom) in the large tote but anxious that the wallet would get really dirty and ruined quite quickly? I love how elegant neutral colours look but unsure about a wallet.

Anyone got any beige wallets and feel confident? Hermès/Chanel/LV all have neutral SLG’s but was wondering how popular they actually are.

My next choice would be burgundy.

I'm thinking of buying a bag from the UK site and having it sent to my parents in England (I don't live there but what I want isn't available where I am; I'd pick it up when I visit home in a couple of months).

The website says "complimentary customs-free shipping" so I assume that means no extra import fees even if it comes from France? (I haven't ordered EU to UK since Brexit.)

I'm more confused by: "Official photo ID is required for all delivery methods: accepted forms of ID are UK or international passport, UK driving license or EU ID card". So the delivery person would ask to see one of these? Would it have to have my name on? (Obviously I won't be there.) Or would I have to address it to one of my parents and hope they are the one home when it comes? Or it doesn't matter, they just keep a record of whoever accepted the parcel?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. I've never shown ID to get a delivery before and I don't want to make it complicated for my parents. (Also don't want to let on it's from LV, they would not approve ).

What would you consider to be some of the "it" bags right now (super high demand, sold out pieces)? How do they compare to your favorite classic/vintage pieces?

i have the opportunity to purchase this bag locally for less than $800.
is that a good price? comps are wildly all over the place - one selling for $600 on ebay, several listed on PM for 1-2k.

Hey all - I bought this beautiful Celine 16 small back in April 2021 so it's been in my collection for almost 2 years now. The first year I used it quite a bit but hasn't been used much for the 2nd year. The handle leather (and whatever adhesive is within the leather loop) has seem to have stretched and the handle drops like in the pictures below. The Celine SA tells me its normal wear and tear. Should I be more adamant about them fixing this for free or is do you all think it's truly wear and tear? I just haven't seen other people's Celine 16 bag handles be so lose and drop like this.

Hi Everyone! I’m looking to buy a delicate Pearl or mother of Pearl necklace on a 18k yellow gold chain. I’m considering the Cartier Amulette XS in mother of pearl, the Tiffany olive leaf pendant with pearl, or even a David Yurman petite solari necklace with Pearl and diamonds.

Between Cartier, Tiffany, and David Yurman, which necklace chain would be the shiniest and have the most presence? It seems that all of these designers are using very thin chains on these delicate necklaces, and because I don’t plan to layer I’d want them to have some presence on their own.

I just purchased my first LV item - a key pouch and I’m so excited. I’m normally a Coach girl and I love the quality but I anm thinking about selling my 2 Coach backpacks (Parker 18 large size and the classic turnlock). I really love these backpacks but I’m wanting to start turning the corner to building a mix of luxury and contemporary collection. I’m eyeing the vintage Montsouris MM but would have to sell my Coach backpacks to afford it. The bag is in good condition with just dark water marks on the leather but canvas, interior and hardware are good. What would you do? I know it’s subjective but still curious.

I've shared in other posts how turned off I was to Tiffany's "Not your mother's Tiffany" campaign and subsequent marketing. I was 100% a Tiffany gal/lady, my engagement rings (I have two) and wedding band are Tiffany, I shopped there in my 30s and 40s and early 50s but didn't want to support a brand that insults me. I left for Cartier and I do love my Cartier pieces! I was over sterling, too. However I peeked at Tiffany's current offerings and I placed an order! I do not have an SA there, I ordered online. I asked my husband what he thought of all this and he replied: "One should never swear off of Tiffany."

Has anyone else broken up with Tiffany and come back?

One other thing I want to add is that not once did I have any SA send me gifts. Cartier spoiled me! I wish Tiffany gave that level of attention and care.

is it worth it? I do not see a market for gently used coach bags.

My Birkin 30 verso (Noir outside, Blue Saphire on the inside) in Shiny Croc Porosous has been stolen from my home in the South of France during the holidays. While we were actually home! Very brazen thieves. Other items were stolen as well.

Unfortunately, police has not been very helpful or hopeful about finding the thieves. However, I am hoping that maybe one of you will spot it on the re-seller website. Please let me know if you see anything like that pop-on anywhere. I am in the process of contacting them all.

Unfortunately, since I travelled with the bag, a copy of the original cites was inside the bag. If it’s being offered for resell, the receipt will bear German address and German last name. Perhaps one of you will spot it. Please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a great Celine Classic alternative in smooth cream because even though I loved the one I had I ended up selling her because of the annoying metal clasps on the strap.
My first choice would be the L&V Nova but I keep on reading awful things re their hardware which seems to tarnish very quickly according to the few reviews found on Reddit and on YouTube.
The bag from the Curated also seems great on pics but some mentioned the not so great leather quality (stiff and heavy).
I would like to hear from people who own one or both.
Which one is better in regards to hardware and leather quality?

I bought a medium leather Fendi Baguette in September. Fell in love with the functionality and leather of this bag. Noticed after a few times using it the glazing was already peeling. Hoping this was an isolated incident, I ordered the large Baguette in leather a few weeks ago. Since it was the holidays, I only put my things in it and was sitting on my shelf mostly. After I sent my medium Baguette in for repair, I took a closer look at my large and it too was starting to have the glazing peel in the same place as my medium. Has anyone else experience this with the Fendi Baguette? The peeling is occurring on both sides of the flap. I still love this bag and am going to keep both in my collection, but am hoping this doesn't continue to happen. TIA

I recently bought a WOC in white caviar leather with light gold hardware when I was on holiday in London. When I inspected it in store I thought everything was fine. But when I unboxed it back home, I noticed that the chain didn’t have the typical champagne gold hardware, it looked much darker and even tarnished. Also the champagne gold of the rest of the bag’s hardware looked different to it (it had the champagne gold).
Yesterday I went to my nearest Chanel (unfortunately I don’t have one in my city) and asked the SA about it. She said to me, that this was normal and showed me another woc with the same dark chain, but lighter “normal” Logo. She said the colour of the chain doesn’t have to match the other hardware of the bag. And now I am highly confused because I always thought that was the case and mismatched hardware rather a sign of a fake. I don’t know what to do now. She refused to get it repaired, but I am still unsure if this “normal”. Did you have any experience with this?

Hi! The two photos show different rings, so don't go by the ring style rather I'm interested to hear your thoughts on ring placement - middle finger or right ring finger. Sadly, my jeweler didn't have the emerald cut radiant (the one I want) in my size to try on my middle finger to compare. Curious about what people prefer? Thanks!

Does anyone have the Jamie Mini in saffron? Online it looks a more orangey tone of yellow but in some pics it’s more of a lemony yellow. Can you please share pics if you have them? TIA

Everything it said made sense except for “Any items currently available on monicarichkosann.com will not be included in the private sale.” Does that mean that she will have a completely different line up? If anyone has shopped at one of her private sales I would love some information to better prepare myself, thank you!

I am new to the hermes world after falling in love with my Oran sandals this summer. I really would like a black Evelyne 29 with GHW but not sure how this all works!!! There isn't an Hermes store near me and nothing is offered online. Any advice?? I don't expect to be able to buy bag after bag, but I defintiely would like to start with the Evelyne and go from there. Advice???

My store doesn’t open for another few hours, so I’m looking for some experiences/thoughts before I can call them.

I received the multi pochette accessories for Christmas and just last night the zipper pull broke, see attached.

I dont necessarily baby my bags, but I’m far from rough with them. I have a closet full of designer bags and have never had one break before. Especially after a week of very light use, I’ve barely left the house!

I called customer service this morning and they advised that I have to take it to my store to have it assessed. From there they will determine if they can fix it in store or if they have to send it away for repair. She told me that repairs are taking 26-52 weeks right now!

Does anyone know if this can be fixed in store? Or have experiences with anything similar?

Tbh, I’m incredibly frustrated. I opened the bag on Christmas Day and noticed a rip in the leather and it was almost like the tan print had bled into the black on the bigger bag. I was able to exchange it for a new one the next day, but they didn’t make it easy. Now this one is broken. I will be so upset if I have to send it away for months just for a small repair.
