Building relationships with Tiffany sales associates

Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to Tiffany & Co (just got my first piece for Christmas from my husband a month ago), but I've been reading a ton of threads here and was intrigued by all the many stories about people with amazing sales associates (SAs) and how they get cards, birthday/holiday gifts, invites to special events, etc. from them. I LOVE the Christmas ornament gifts and thoughtful cards that I've been seeing on social media too! (In a way, I feel like it's the Tiff & Co version of the "Hermès journey".)

Inspired by these posts, I've been aiming to find a good SA to be loyal to. I met a kind SA earlier this month who gave me her card, and just bought a Tiffany piece from her last weekend. (She also offered champagne in-store. :)) She has been texting me updates about my order and I plan to stay loyal to her for future purchases, though I don't know if I'll be making another Tiffany purchase until nearly Christmas.

Am I on the right track to hopefully building a good relationship with her? Do I need to spend thousands on non-sterling silver pieces to be memorable enough to perhaps get a birthday/Christmas card from her? Lol

I'd love to hear your stories about how you built your relationships with your go-to SAs! If they ever gave you gifts, invites or cool perks, I'd love to hear about that too!

Pochette Metis Empreinte, return or keep?

I have wanted the Pochette Metis since it first came out but never bought one, the strap just wasn’t long enough for cross body. (I have a speedy B Empreinte so strap issues can be solved) I haven’t seen one in person for a few years but still from time to time look on here at photos, online etc.

A pre loved 2019 made in France came up on a pre loved site I know well and I bought it quickly as I knew it would get snapped up. It’s never been used it’s been kept in perfect condition still with the protective tape on the lock, box, dust bag, original receipt etc.

I’m torn it’s in such good condition and I paid a good price for it, but I’m still not sure I love it, I really like it but as someone who over the last few years carries less and less I would be using it for keys, lip balm, small wallet and my phone.

I don’t know if I should keep it or send it back. Such a first world problem to have!

Hi! I got my long awaited Cartier love in RG and also a vintage Alhambra GMOP pendant last year (which I absolutely love) - along with a sweet carnelian RG bracelet and earrings because it's well, a slippery slope!

I've had my eye on another bracelet to add to my stack for awhile, along with VA WMOP earrings (which, who knows when they will be available next?!).

Was a little spooked by possible price increases at VCA and Cartier (but both boutiques told me none coming up anytime soon) and so I went browsing today - and am torn between these bracelets!

The Alhambra bracelets have historically spoke to me more, but after realising how much of a pain it is to constantly put the sweet bracelets on/off (since you can't shower with the stones etc) - I got attracted to the idea of the JUC. I mostly WFH and workout a lot so realistically I only wear my love most days. I would love to have another piece to wear 24/7.

I tried the small JUC on - it's really nice.

And then I went next door to VCA, to my surprise, they had the RG hammered 6 motif in stock!! (Along with 5 motif WMOP which I haven't seen in a while). I really like how the hammered sweet stacks with my sweet carnelian, the colour is beautiful, and is also carefree.

I will also add that I have this beautiful bracelet as well which stacks well (it's RG with white jade and some gems). I don't do this stack enough..

Which should I get? Or should I get NONE and enjoy this triple stack for now, and hold out for a pair of WMOP VA earrings which I will want at some point?

Who can say something about the LV Rivets Tote/Shoulder Bag? M40140

I think this is from about 2007 and came in different materials (canvas and leather, not sure about denim). Suddenly, I've seen a rash of them on Vestiare Collective for a wide variety of prices. It's still pretty pricy, which surprises me because I don't think it's popular. So its held its price or probably has even gone up. I don't know. It doesn't seem to be discussed here at tPF (maybe I'm just not finding it). I find myself intrigued.

Who can say anything about it? I mean, anything. How does it wear? Do you like it? Do you think it's dated? Is if comfortable? Anyone's grail? Anyone's nightmare?

I'm just so curious and would love to see one IRL.

Tanner leatherstein?

Has anyone seen the short clips from this guy called tanner leatherstein where he cuts up bags , wallets and leather goods to dissect their quality? He also mentions what he thinks the prices should be.
I thought he was informative but I do cringe seeing leather goods cut and torn up like that. Of course I also don't know his credentials and how accurate his statements are .

Chanel Vintage Jumbo-Caviar or Lambskin HELP me decide!

Hi everyone!

I am a Chanel vintage lover and fell in love with the mademoiselle jumbo XL CC in black with GHW. I just cant decide between lambskin and caviar. I love lambskin because the look and feel but afraid if I use it all the time being a bigger bag it will ruin the structure and get beat up quickly. I take really good care of my bags but would love to hear your thoughts if anyone owns either of these bags. I found one of each- the caviar is in better condition and actually is $600 less. Thank oyu in advance!

LV online payment problems!!

Hey everyone - I have been trying to order the LV X YK PAINTED DOTS MONOGRAM BB BANDEAU and I have tried to pay for it and it continually says "payment failed - we couldn't process your payment of £195.00. your card hasn't been debited."

I have tried 3 different cards and I'm starting to think there is a problem with the website or a stock issue rather than my cards as I use them everyday and they are fine...??
Has this happened to anyone else???

thanks x

Cartier Necessaires Parfum Cases

Hi!
Anyone have experience with the Cartier Necessaires Parfum cases? I like the La Panthere one but it's quite an upcharge for the case compared to the cost of the fragrance alone. A bottle of 75ml La Panthere parfum is $144 while 60ml with the case is $715. The refills afterwards would be $105, so $610 for the case. That seems like a lot for a case that isn't actually gold or gold plated or anything. The website gives no indication of what it is made of.

My specific question is whether anyone has any of these cases and whether they show signs of wear and/or rust after a few years of regular use?

Thanks!

Leather - epsom or evercolor?

I just purchased a Bolide and my SA told me it is epsom. I don’t own an epsom so don’t know how it should look or feel, but I do know I love the leather of my Bolide.

I just checked the receipt and it says the leather is evercolor. Should I go with what’s on the receipt or what my SA (who’s very experienced and knowledgeable) said?

Doesn’t make a difference to me since I looove the leather but just want to know.

TIA!
