I was wondering if anyone has the Cartier Juste Un Clou regular size and the Van Cleef and Arpels Guilloche 5 motif bracelet? I have the Juste un Clou regular size and can't decide between the Love bracelet to add or the VCA Guilloche. If anyone has the two I'd love to see a picture of them together. I see a lot of JUC and Love together obviously but can't tell how well the other two go together. Thanks in advance

I would like to ask if anyone knows if there is any difference (e.g. quality) when buying sunglasses directly on Celine vs. Mytheresa, Farfetch etc.? On non-Celine sites the glasses are much cheaper. What is the reason for this?

The purpose of this thread is nothing but a stream of curiosity that came up in my head since I’ve been reading about the shortage of leather supply and bag offers the past couple years. The answer to this thread is most likely indefinite also, unless someone knows the books and accounting of Hermès, but I thought it might be a fun guessing game for us to take part in. Since the birth of the Birkin and the Kelly, which variation of each bag do you think Hermès has produced the most of?

I’ll start, I think the most Birkin’s made out there is a 35cm togo retourne noir with gold hardware. As for the Kelly, my guess would be a 32cm box retourne noir with gold hardware.

What do you guys think? Let’s have some fun!

I had quite a collection of Céline bags, all from Phoebes tenure.

In the last 6 months I have been gradually selling my items from many Luxury brands and I’m ok with that. But I feel a little sadness at letting the Céline ones go.

I’ve let go some immaculate luggage bags for silly money just to get it over with quickly before I change my mind. I’m hanging onto my black and souris drummed ones as I still love the style and in the micro size not too big at all.

This week I sold my two cabas phantom totes, in a beautiful indigo and kohl. I loved those but just don’t need totes (or so many bags at all).

I’m not a sentimental person at all so why am I reluctant to pack them up and say goodbye

Anyway out of all my existing bags the one I seriously cannot stop using is my black selleria mini peekaboo. It’s just so perfect that when I change out of it I’m back in it with it days.

Kering appoints Sabato De Sarno as creative director of Gucci​

French luxury group Kering has appointed Sabato De Sarno as creative director of Gucci, it said on Saturday. He will present his debut runway collection at Milan Women’s Fashion Week in September 2023.




Sabato De Sarno will assume the role of Creative Director - Gucci

De Sarno began his career at Prada in 2005, moving to Dolce& Gabbana, before joining Valentino in 2009, where he held several positions before being appointed fashion director overseeing both men's and women's collections.

In his new role, De Sarno will lead the House’s Design Studio reporting to Marco Bizzarri, President and CEO of Gucci, with the responsibility for defining and expressing the House’s creative vision across the women’s, men’s, leather goods, accessories and lifestyle collections.

So, I was heading into a store carrying my speedy, when a male entering behind me (who to me, seemed to me like someone who wouldn’t be familiar with designer items, although you probably can’t judge a book by its cover!) and he says “woah, nice purse”, I say thank you, and then he asks “is it real?” I’ve never experienced that before, so being off guard I say yes. I felt super uncomfortable, he followed me to the same area but left before me. He was standing outside when I left. Nothing happened, but I am now wondering if I could have potentially been in a dangerous situation?! I realize, I probably should have scoffed and said something like “no” or “ I wish.” Have you ever experienced this, or what would you do?

Hi just wondering since so many people on TPF recommended to store bags in acid free paper, wonder what's the benefit of it and what happen if you used normal paper? I used a stuffing paper / stuffed paper for package and usually just put them inside the bag and now wondering if it's going to damage my bag in a long run. I probably used it for more than a year already.

I picked up my bag on Tuesday. I purchased the small black Chanel 19 and noticed the straps had this extra leather hanging out like it wasn’t stitched in properly and it’s on both sides of the bag within the chain. I know resale value is down in general. But in your experience, which sites have the highest offers and relatively fast payouts? I’m kind of over most of my Chanel bags and would rather have money for trips. I think I’ll just keep my black classic flap and my grey 2.55. I sold one LV bag to therealreal in 2021 and made a profit. But 2021 resale market seems like a completely different animal compared to now. I’m not expecting that to be the case this time around.
