I bought my first ever Gucci today! I took the plunge on a Jumbo Double GG bucket hat in lilac! In love doesn’t even describe it!

I went into LV a couple of days ago to drop off a few repairs and I brought home this.

It is beautiful, but my husband is concerned about the wear since it is already peeling a bit.

I know it’s only a once in a while bag but I wanted other TPF users opinions on if would be hard to wear?

I feel like it would look stunning with black. But I guess I’m just looking for others honest opinions on the bag.

Has anyone ever chosen the WOC over the mini?
I am interested in buying a mini flap, but ideally in GHW, however I‘ve heard they are starting to come more in champagne gold hardware.
I really like the Chanel gold against the black bag so now considering the WOC.
Thinking of getting black lambskin without top handle for mini flap
Undecided on whether it is caviar or lambskin for WOC.

I’m torn as I like the mini shape better, but also they’re hard to get. I’m prepared to wait but don’t want to regret it if I don’t like the champagne gold that much.

Thoughts?
Those with WOC is it sufficient as minimal day bag for keys with large fob, cards, phone, lipstick?

Hello - long time lurker at PF. *wave* I am contemplating a purchase of either a medium cabat or medium andiamo soon and wondered if anyone had some insights to share -
- is the cabat easy to wear over the shoulder?
- what color works best? It seems like the choices are a bit limited right now. The fondant color in the andiamo seems like it could be the best choice but I don’t know if it would coordinate well with my wardrobe.

For context, I’m a winter complexion with pink and slight olive undertones, I wear mostly dark blues and black or gray. Brown (especially camel or British tan colors) is awful on me but brown accessories can coordinate well and for some reason gold jewelry works too. My job is in finance; I work with very wealthy people and there’s a high standard of professional dress. OTOH I have a one year old baby so I try to go for bags that can be carried on the shoulder as well as in hand, and they cannot be too delicate as I tend not to coddle anything- it needs to be able to handle some wear.

I carry a medium-ish amount of stuff and travel by car, no large amounts of walking or public transport.

Hey y’all! I‘ve never found myself too interested in Chanel for several reasons but lately have been fixated on the look and idea of a Chanel backpack.

I don’t see too many posts on here regarding backpacks and would like to hear your thoughts on them. Do you own one? What style? Did you purchase vintage and/or pre-loved? Pros, cons, etc. I’m particularly interested in the Duma and Business Affinity style backpacks but am open to hearing about Chanel backpacks in general. Please share your experience and opinions, would love to hear them!

I havent really bought a vintage piece before, so would love your opinions. There is a reputed consignment store in my city selling these two bags: the Saint Cloud crossbody, and the Saint Jacques tote. Pics below.

I didnt know that the Epi leather was vintage, to be honest. I thought it was the newer models that had this material. I've been wanting a black medium size crossbody or tote for a while now, so this piqued my interest.

Do any of you have/wear any of these two styles? Which do you think will stay classic for longer? WHat are your thoughts/experience with the epi leather?

So my SA just sent me a text letting me know he has a black card holder available. I wanted a pink one as well and should’ve purchased it a few months ago when he had it available.

Anyway, fast forward to this new year, he finally has more available in stock (only black). The thing is I want to purchase it at the store but my sister says since she is traveling to Italy for her birthday later this month to put the purchase on hold since she can buy it in Italy and get it cheaper (I believe due to the VAT refund).

She said I should’ve asked her to hold off on buying the Hermes Oran sandals I purchased last month since she is going away this month (I had no idea she was traveling until last week).

What should I do? I know there’s no guarantee of it being available in Italy but should I wait and let her buy it for me?

Hi all,

I just received my overnight order from VCA e-boutique this morning. I live in an apartment and my doorman helped me sign the package. It was picked up immediately after Fedex delivered the item. The security seal was removed, but the shipping label sticker was intact. Please see the attached picture for your reference. When I opened the box to check, everything inside was intact. And also, the serial number on the jewelry itself matches the number on Authenticity Certificate. Should I be concerned? Or should I exchange it? I'm worried that package is going to be damaged or stolen during transit back to the warehouse, since it's around $8000.

P.S. I did call customer service to confirm the serial number with them. They assured me that the piece that I received is genuine. Not a fake one.

I know you guys are more experienced and advices are greatly appreciated.

Wondering if I’m the only one who feels this way. I’ve loved purses my whole life. Just obsessed, always noticing them etc. Purchased the pouchette accessories; a Speedy 35 (not b) and a Neverfull mm (original, without a pouch) like a million years ago (2003-2006). Wore mostly the NF a whole lot.

Fast forward to now, in my mid-40s with 2 kids and a mostly work from home job. Been gravitating to small pretty bags like the Polene Beri, which I am buying soon-to carry my phone and a couple of cards. On the weekend, I tend to use a Le Pliage to bring water, snacks and a kindle to kid activities-and my pretty bags now live in my closet. They are hot stamped and I have no intention of selling, but am wondering-would my daughter be interested? Should I be buying more bags if all I ever leave the house for is the grocery store and the soccer field? I have so much guilt for both not using the old bags and buying new ones (albeit cheaper ones). Anyone else?

I always wanted a Vintage Kelly but I don't know how much they should really cost. Sometimes I have seen consignment stores post higher prices for the vintage bags than bags from 7 years ago. Realistically would a Kelly 32 in a rouge/reddish tone makes sense to cost? I live in Canada so please state USD or wherever you are from. Merci

I just purchased a preowned two tone quartz cartier santos demoiselle. The watch was made after 2009 but other than that I don’t know the year of production. It’s no longer being made by Cartier and there were not many available online. I ordered from a shop which sells directly and also sells on ebay and chrono24. However, I know he acquired the watch from another vendor, it wasn’t in his possession until I placed the order. I ordered through ebay for an extra layer of protection versus ordering directly from the dealer. It was authenticated by ebay authenticators, but I don’t have much faith in ebay authentication. The watch appears to be in great condition other than a minor scratch. However, I noticed that the sides of the gold links on the band appear to be tarnished which you can only see if you bend the band so that the sides of the links are exposed. Has anyone experienced that with a gold Cartier watch? I plan to take it to Cartier for servicing, but I want to know if the tarnishing is a huge red flag. There is a 30 day return policy so I still have some time. Also, I don’t think he would intentionally sell a fake watch but its possible he was deceived also. I also noticed that the serial number on the case isn’t in perfect alignment which scared me but I checked the serial number alignment on the Cartier TF that I purchased from an AD and it’s also not in perfect alignment so that doesn’t help me much. I guess I wont know until I take it to Cartier but im just curious about the tarnishing.

I want a pair of Tiffany Bean earrings but prefer the mini 5mm size that comes in rose gold or yellow gold for $750. I wish that size came in silver but looks like silver is only available in the 9mm size. Does anyone own that 5mm bean studs that would be willing to share a photo? I can’t seem to find any pics of this size on the ear.

I’m thinking about getting a CSGM or maybe a cashmere triangle for spring summer. Do you think the material will be too hot for summer? Also which size do you recommend?

So, I had bought a few VCA pieces throughout the years and never stuck with one SA as I buy from whichever SA can get me the piece I’m looking for first.
I recently purchased a single pave Alhambra pendant and got in touch with an SA who served me in the boutique. When I was ready for the purchase, I asked for a brand new one which she said that the one I tried on was the only one they had. I asked her to order me a brand new one, after all, the necklace wasn’t going to be a cheap purchase. I was ok to wait since I wasn’t in a hurry to get it. She said ok and would call me when it arrived. I took a few pics of the necklace that day.
When my new necklace arrived at the boutique, my hubby went to pick it up for me since I was out of town. When he picked it up, the SA brought it out to him, still wrapped in plastic. I asked my hubby if it was wrapped and he said yes but he thought they could have simply put the “old” piece into a plastic bag and selling it as a brand new, never tried on piece.
Yesterday, I scrolled through pics on my phone not knowing that I was capturing the serial number of the necklace I tried on that. Of course I immediately compared it to the necklace my husband picked up. And sure enough, the SA was dishonest and sold me that same piece that they already had in the boutique…
I’m mad about her lying to us and for thinking that we are dumb! I initially regretted not taking a picture of that serial number that day but what a coincidence that my phone camera did capture the number…
Now, what would you do? Shall I address her dishonesty with that SA directly? Or complain to head office? I’m not trying to get anything out of this but just want her to know that I am not dumb and don’t appreciate her lying to me! On the other hand, I was trying to establish a relationship with this SA as I plan on getting other VCA pieces in the near future. Sometimes it’s better to have a relationship with an SA to get offered rare pieces but I’m not happy with how she probably thought we would never find out… ‍♀️
