There is no such thing as too many backpacks

Wise words from @seidokat as above. ;)

I'm a backpack fanatic. I enjoy being handsfree and a balanced weight on my back versus everything weighing down on one shoulder. When I travel, I need my water bottle with me and my cold weather essentials.

Sharing another backpack purchase from the Foulonne line; a new style that I had been eyeing since it launched. It is smaller than the original version I owned. It opens with one zipper at the top, has one deep zippered compartment within and another at the back. This is one feature I really appreciate as it is so useful to store valuables here. The straps are wider on this backpack which makes carrying it so comfortable. I like the buckles at the bottom; it's like a horseshoe.

I invite all of you to share your LC backpacks here. Will love to admire them.

Chanel 22 Quality Issues?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have been really loving the look of the Chanel 22 in small and mini as of recently.

Did some looking into it and stumbled upon this video regarding quality issues? Her bag looks to be peeling where the chain meets the leather. Has anyone else experienced this? I only have one Chanel handbag (CCH) and it's a closet bag since it was so pricey and precious to me. I definitely want my next one to be something I can use daily...

Anyone on a low buy or no buy in 2023?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone is on a low buy or no buy this year, or just has generally paused buying because nothing is appealing right now. Would love to hear more about what season of life or buying you are in, what triggered a change etc.

Here is my story for this year:
I made some wonderful purchases - both in jewelry and handbags - in the first half of this year. While I could be chasing the next item on my wishlist before the next round of price increases or a certain item is no longer available, I decided to take a pause and just enjoy what I have added in the last few years. As for season of life, mid 30s, married and a parent of 2 young children and we are constantly racing against time with busy schedules, hectic jobs and never-ending todo lists.

Looking to hear from any / all of you!

pacino and deniro making babies

this is kinda sickening. these two were so great back in the day. they will likely be dead by the time the kids are ten

Loro piana, Chanel or BV

I’m building up a collection and I’m not sure what to get next.

It’s either Loro Piana Bellevue in brown Ostrich, Chanel cerf tote in black, or Bottega veneta mini Roma in pink.

All of them would be pre loved.
I don’t need them for work as I’m a nurse but would use it for running errands/shopping or whenever.

I do buy bags that I like but would also prefer some sort of return should I decide to sell in the future.

Understated and quiet is my style as I do not want to stand out.

What one would you get?

Same quality Marcie?

Hi all,

I have a medium Marcie crossbody in nut that I purchased in January 2012, so it was probably made in 2011. It’s awesome! I still wear it. Other than a bit of wear on the hardware and a bit of glazing on the strap, there’s no wear. The leather is fantastic. I would like to buy a small double carry Marcie in Europe this summer. However, even the European prices are high for me. My question is the quality the same as 10 years ago? Does anyone have an older Marcie as well as a newer model?

Calling all the owners of the Fendi "Baguette" book for help

Hello, this is a little embarrassing but I need to ask for help

I've been kind of obsessed with this particular baguette from Spring Summer 2010 since basically the summer of 2010, specially the embroidery on it.
While it may interest in it has waxed and waned in the last decade this year it has really peaked. Unfortunately google has been pretty much useless helping me find a good quality picture of this bag, meaning I've only found this one besides the original picture from the magazine when I first saw it back in 2010 (which I still have).
However, and this is where I need one of you who has the book, I know there's a photo of the whole back panel of this bag inside the Baguette book which unfortunately I do not own and seems a little ridiculous even for me to buy a copy when currently I just need it for this specific page.

So please if one of you would be so kind as to share said photo with me I would be incredibly grateful

This is the bag in question and also a screenshot of the original promotional video for the book where Silvia Venturini Fendi was browsing the book and the bag is visible. I need a clear photo of the page on the right please, mainly the embroidery in the middle

Thank you for your time

Done with NM

Yet again, the item I ordered on sale was cancelled. In fact, it showed they had two in stock and I jumped on it because I had ordered it in January and they cancelled it then, too. I was chatting with the rep asking if they could apply a discount code for an item I just bought last week and they said no. I would have to return it and rebuy it. I said send me a return label. I am done with NM. I was already cut off from the chat once and just got cut off again. This level of customer service is terrible for a high end store.

No wax packaging, etc with airport purchases?

Hi all,

Yesterday I visited the C boutique at Hong Kong Intl Airport and received a panthere watch there as a gift— was just curious to know what standard watch packaging and extras are like as I feel like my purchase was missing a lot of the extras I got with my last C purchase? I will say I don’t care a ton about getting perfume samples, extra gifts, etc, but was moreso curious if watch and jewelry purchases have different packaging, or if purchases made in airports may have less frills for ease of transport?

My watch came with the classic red storage box and in a red C shopping bag. But it was not packaged in the white paper with red wax seal. Also, we did not receive a carrying pouch or cleaning kit, but I’m not sure if those are “gifts” instead of standard things anyway. Finally, I remember with my purchase of a love necklace there was a little red leather “card” that opens and closes and on it was printed the authenticity information — I did not receive something like this this time? There was a little white card of authenticity/warranty, but not the red leather certificate or anything.

If anyone has input I’d love to hear! I do wish I had the bag and cleaning kit!

Help: D'Joy or Caro?

Hi everyone!!! I love your guys' opinions so much that I want to run these options by you all to see if you can help me get out of this overwhelming decision. First-world problems, I guess. LOL
So, I want to gift myself a bag since I am accomplishing a huge milestone of finishing grad school. I love micro bags since I don't carry a lot. On the weekends, I usually go out with a flat card case, an old iPhone 11, and keys. That's it.
Options are:
Micro D'Joy in cloud blue, which I read some reviews from people saying that you can fit all the essentials I listed above. Size: 6 x 3.5 x 2 inches US$ 3100
Small D'Joy in peony pink. Size: 9 x 4.5 x 2.5 US$4300
Small Caro is graystone. Size: 8 x 5 x 3 US$4300
Why am I debating? I love the Caro and that color is amazing but Dior has a bad reputation for switching logos often. I am afraid that this logo will be dated in a few years.
I already have a dark grey medium lady dior but I am considering the D'Joy because I think that the "Lady Dior" style is a classic and I enjoy the new spin on it represented by the D'Joy. It's fun and classic at the same time.
I just want to chat and see what you all think

Keep or sell YSL Le Carre

Hey guys!

So I got this really cute YSL Le Carre satchel in a seasonal color for $1.2k at the outlet store (neutral colors retails at $3,250 online) and it was an impulse buy but I’ve been wanting to add a pop of color to my neutrals bag collection (Lady D in black, Chanel boy in black, YSL sunset in beige, Dior saddle in taupe, Goyard tote in black, loewe in white). But I’m wondering if it’s worth it considering how strong the color is and obviously my previous choices were all neutrals. But what do y’all think? I guess I’m just scared I won’t be able to get the value for my money.
