Obviously this is a magnified photo and I’m sure I notice it 10x more than anyone else casually glancing at it. I don’t intend on ever selling it. At what point do you decide to polish your pieces/send them in? Honest question. What is normal wear and tear and what needs to be addressed? I have little kids and I’m rough on everything. I also believe things should be worn and loved and enjoyed, not put under museum glass.

I don’t normally mind scratches but this is on the nail head. I probably hit it on something. Sigh. Am I overreacting?

I don't understand the interchange or exchange of PU, Pleather being called leather in several brands but especially Kate Spade. I ordered a bag thinking it was leather. The Kate Spade stores employees thought the bag was patent leather as well. I only found out after purchase it was not leather from Neiman Marcus. How do you have PU with leather trim? What is that? I feel it’s dishonest and a tread that started with coatings on cloth being made vague. Same bag but different discriptions. Thoughts? How to determine what is leather before purchase?

Does anyone have this necklace?

I recently purchased these bags at auction. They are unmarked. Historically, was there a time when Loewe bags were unmarked? The boxes these purses came in look quite vintage to me. Prior to when the L marks were designed. Your thoughts?

I was gifted a pre-owned classic double flap bag by a late relative. The bag is about 20 years old and was originally purchased from Neiman Marcus. While the serial number sticker is still intact, the authentication card has been lost. The bag holds sentimental value, but it’s in pretty rough condition. I’d love to get it professionally restored, but I’ve never owned a Chanel bag before and am unsure how to go about this. I took it to the Chanel boutique but the SA was kind of rude by making comments like "Ew that looks so bad." "I wouldn't spend any money on restoring it. Just buy a new one". She made me feel ashame for taking it in.

Should I try to take it to a different boutique before sending it to Leather Surgeon or Rago Brothers? Also, any idea of the potential cost involved would be really helpful.

Stars of the show for me were the Dragon bags, first created under Tom Ford for Gucci in 2004 when Frida Giannini was Design Director for Handbags. I have to admit that I may have been a little too unsophisticated to appreciate the Dragon bag the first time around, as I remember hating them when passing Gucci in Cannes 21 years ago (I liked the horse-bits). I could kick myself now for not buying one.

I can only imagine the price - so I better start saving now! coz I need one to go with my original SS04 shoes (bought pre-loved)

Has anyone ever sold a piece only to buy it again a few years later? I'm a big believer in selling pieces I don't wear, whether on eBay or Fashionphile/Yoogi/Rebag. A few years ago I had purchased the smallest Tiffany DBTY studs in rose gold in 0.06 ctw. I wasn't reaching for them and sold them for a decent price at Fashionphile. I recently purchased a 0.25 ct DBTY rose gold necklace and realized that my regular studs in white gold aren't the best companion for it. I also realized that I wanted a more casual pair of diamond studs to wear with summer T-shirts. I tried on those 0.06 ct DBTY studs again and realized they are exactly what I was looking for. Surely I'm not the only one who has done this? Interested in anyone else's experience doing this!

Should I be worried about this chain of my mini lady dior or does it suppose to be like this? The metal is sewn to the leather a little bit crooked ( not straight).

As the title says just wondering if anyone has had a bespoke watch strap made by Cartier?
I've recently purchased a tank watch with the black leather strap, but find it quite masculine. I wanted to purchase something a bit more feminine.
I know Cartier does sell watch straps in their boutiques & also that they offer a bespoke service.
Has anyone ordered a bespoke watch strap before. I'm trying to get an idea of cost & how long it would take to make it?

I watched some of it and was not fond of the faux fur. Either do it or don’t. But the bags are beautiful. Purseblog posted article. My issue is the ones I like are hand held which seems impractical for many people? I adore the horsebit details.

I just purchased these Loro Piana summer charm deerskin loafers. They are buttery soft but I just realized that they are made with unfinished deerskin leather. They seem like they will soak up any dirt like a sponge because of the porous characteristic of this leather. Does anyone have these shoes or can recommend a protective spray that won’t change the white color or the texture of the leather? I am even considering returning them because I am scared of ruining them but at the same time, I’ve been wanting them for so long. Thank you!

I have a white gold 0.60 tcw unbranded diamond bangle that I rarely wear. It’s beautiful and elegant, but I don’t usually wear white metal during seasons when I wear short sleeves and bracelets (and when I do I wear my silver bone cuff). I’m thinking of selling the bangle to help fund the purchase of a yellow or rose gold Tiffany T wire bracelet with diamonds. My other bracelets are the Tiffany Peretti diamond hoop and the Tiffany micro Hardwear in rose gold. I feel like the bangle is of course a more classic piece, but I struggle with the fact that I don’t really wear it (at least at this point in my life). What would you kind folks do in my situation?

I had my 1995 Randonnee GM delivered on Friday and had a chance to use it today! I looked hard for mod photos before I purchased it and although I found some, I still was a little nervous about the size of this bag. I’m absolutely thrilled with the outcome and love it. I am 5’3” and 145 pounds. I purchased from A Retro Tale and highly recommend them! It was delivered 5 days after my Sunday morning order.

I love wearing it sling style, will wear over the shoulder as secondary and I’ll rarely wear it as a backpack. It is great for travel and would definitely be a bit large for work/around town. I purchased it for long-distance travel as my personal item.

I've been considering purchasing a Chloe Marcie Small Double Carry (or possibly Small Saddle Bag) as an everyday bag and found an awesome seasonal color (Dimness Purple) that I really like. However, I've read reviews and seen some threads here and elsewhere about quality issues and quality declines with Chloe Marcie bags. Could someone who has a newer Marcie or both older and newer Marcies speak to the quality and how they hold up over time? Thanks!

I recently received a Softbit Maxi in the color brown for Mother's Day. I had previously narrowed it down to the brown and the green. I chose the brown. However I keep going back and forth and I think the green is really where my heart lies. I can't make up my mind. Too bad I can't get both at the moment LOL. Which color do you think is the best, which color do you gravitate toward? I'm tempted to exchange for the green.

Yesterday my 10-Motif Pave necklace was delivered.

However, the process probably took years off my life. FedEx does not look good. My VCA SA was fantastic throughout. So grab some popcorn.

Necklace was to deliver FedEx first by 8:00AM. I arranged this because I have private strength training from 10:00 to Noon.

Here’s a time line of events:

• 7:00AM: At my desk working on deadline items. I do have a vantage point so I should see the truck. My pooch is with me too. Check tracking. Said it had reached the FedEx hub near my house, but was NOT loaded on the truck. UGH!!!
• 7:00 to 8:00AM: Status the same. Not loaded on vehicle. I texted my SA saying I think the delivery will be delayed.
• 8:02AM: I look up from what I’m doing. Out of the corner of my eye I see the FedEx person leaving. I run to the door. I see the sticker on the door. Oh Sh*******ttttt!!! Now the fun begins.
• 8:03AM: I text my SA about the missed delivery. She said not to worry. She was on it. She would try to have it delivered before I left for the gym.
• 8:03-10:30AM: FedEx unable to deliver by gym time. I said I would be willing to drive to FedEx after working out and I could drive there sometime after Noon.
• 11:30AM -12:43PM: Called my SA. No word yet on when / where to pick up the necklace. I go run some errands and am back at my desk.
• 12:43PM: I get a text from FedEx saying that the package was delivered and signed for by someone other than me or my husband. At this point I call my SA absolutely panicked. She knows that I did not receive the necklace and that it’s insured, etc. She would continue to press FedEx for answers. Meanwhile, I decide to take a bath to try and chill out. I’m so discombobulated I misplace my glasses.
• 2:30PM: I get a call and text from my VCA SA that the necklace is ready to pick up at the FedEx hub. I said I would drive to pick it up immediately. I find an older prescription, hop in the car and drive 30 minutes to the FedEx.
• 3:00-3:15PM: The necklace is not at that location. I show the agent, all the communications, who signed for it. Evidently the driver signed for the package. I overhear the agent call the driver and tell her regarding the signing, “You can’t do that!!!” So the driver offers to redeliver it to my house and will be there in 20 minutes. Will someone be home. Yes, my husband is home.
• 3:15PM: I call my husband and tell him to be on the lookout. I call my SA and told her that the package was not at the FedEx location and that they were going to reattempt delivery.
• 3:30PM: Package delivered. Hubby said driver was really disorganized. I think she knew she was in big time trouble for this.

But everything was fine and the necklace is beautiful. I owe my SA a nice bottle of wine.

I was lucky enough to get the TM super flat toiletries pouch when LV launched on line, but now it’s just sitting in its dust bag, never used ☹️ I hate to stuff it in my speedy and risk scratching the flowers. It’s too small for me to use as a crossbody and I never use a clutch bag. I’m wondering how everyone is using theirs before I decide if I should sell it or keep it. Thank you for your help.

Has anyone seen it in person? I’ve been looking for the perfect oversized easy travel/day tote. Plus as sad as it sounds the price seems so reasonable. Can’t decide if I like the denim or brown better.
