As the title says just wondering if anyone has had a bespoke watch strap made by Cartier?
I've recently purchased a tank watch with the black leather strap, but find it quite masculine. I wanted to purchase something a bit more feminine.
I know Cartier does sell watch straps in their boutiques & also that they offer a bespoke service.
Has anyone ordered a bespoke watch strap before. I'm trying to get an idea of cost & how long it would take to make it?
I'm based in the UK
TIA 🙏

I went to the boutique and ordered a strap for my Santos. I paid almost $400 for the croc strap. They show you swatches of different leathers, many colors too. Just let them know what you like. It takes a while though. I ordered last month and they messaged me that expected delivery is July. I'm in the US, I went to the Boston boutique.

Hi there, yes, I was based in the UK, and I ordered a bespoke alligator watch strap for my Roadster GMT last year. I did it through Harrods. Mine was £355 for an alligator strap. I had to pay another £300 separately for the deployant buckle, but that is model-specific. I ordered it at the end of August, and it arrived in the third week of October. They did stress that it could take much longer, so do manage your expectations.

Do also bear in mind that the various boutiques may have different colour offerings. I checked Harrods, Sloane Square and Bond Street before I made my choice. Selfridges will not have any exotic offerings.

Oh I didn't know that you could do it through Harrods or Selfridges or think that different boutiques would have different colour offerings. Thats very helpful, thank you. I'm currently waiting for a client adviser to contact me from Old Bond Street boutique. Can you just walk into a store & ask to see what they have or do you need an appointment?

If they have staff availability, you can just walk in - as with all these luxury brands nowadays, you may have to wait for a while depending on how crowded the boutiques are. But otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue.

I defo would like the alligator strap. Sounds fun choosing from all the different types of leathers & colours. I will probably find it hard to decide lol. What colour did you go for? I'm contemplating a red alligator same as the colour of the Cartier watch box.

Oooh that sounds lovely. I can't wait to see what the have on offer!
Thank you! It was very tough to decide haha. I already have my eye on a couple more colours at least, but the sales assistant told me to wait until the warranty expires on the first strap before getting the next one. That way I get the full benefit of the warranty on the new straps.

I went for medium gray. I wanted to get this very light pink, kinda pearl-ish too. But I hesitated and will just order again when I pick up my first order. Little did I know that it would take this long... I should have ordered both then. Not sure too if the price would have increased by July. They just raised the prices on Santos watches.

Sounds lovely. Funnily enough I asked about pink or grey coloured straps. I was emailed some colour swatches but I think I'm going to go down the dark red route. I think the grey looks lovely though, it will be a hard decision. I'm hoping to go to a boutique next Friday to get one ordered. Can't wait 😁

There's a really lovely Cartier red and dark green alligator straps that the SA showed me. She gave me a black one that they had at the boutique, but she said some colors could be up to 12 weeks depending on color/leather. There are also third party sites that sell straps at about half the price that have good reviews - I'm considering that option for strap colors I'm interested in but probably wouldn't wear as much! They come with a (obviously not actual gold) buckle so you can switch them on immediately without having to mess with moving the buckle.
