What Colour Nail Polish Are You Wearing ?

Essie "lily" on my toes; clear on my fingers.

I have this thing about no matching colors for finger and toe polish - is that wierd? :shame: Coordinated is good - just not matching.

I always alternate the color of my toenail polish. My favorite summer toenail look is alternating coral and yellow polish on every other toe. It looks great with a tan!

Right now, I have a pretty shimmery light coral color from Wet n Wild on my fingernails. I'm a total nailpolish junkie! I must have 200 colors.

Ok fine I confess I just painted on a baby blue with silver sparkles (NYC or Wet n Wild) . The bottle is like a hundred years old so it came out horribly. I just wanted to try it on...are sparkles really 'out'?!?!?!

I almost never bother painting my fingernails, as I find that it lifts straight off as soon as I wash my hair and my hair ends up getting snagged in the polish shards! Ouch!!! ush:

However, I love painting my toenails, as if you do it well, it looks good and lasts for weeks!!!

At the moment I'm into red polish and can't recommend Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer, in Jungle Red, highly enough!

Jungle Red is one of those universally flattering colours that would look good on virtually all skintones (not too orange, or blue).

Also, the polish consistency is great, it lasts well (I find some nail polishes 'go off' after one or two uses) and genuinely covers, evenly, in one coat.

Finally, I know this is slightly off-topic but I also highly recommend; Creative Nail Design's 'Stickey' base coat, 'Super Shiney' high gloss top coat and 'Solar Speed Spray' (which not only speeds up the drying process, but also prevents dog hairs sticking to my newly painted toes! ).
