What brand are ladies carrying in France and Italy?

Last I was there, I saw Goyard and Longchamp... this is interesting.. thanks for the links!
I haven't been to France lately, but threads on this board suggest that these brands are also popular there:

Gerard Darel:
www.gerarddarel.com (on the arm of every Parisian woman, so they say)

Vanessa Bruno:
www.vanessabruno.com (on the other arm of every Parisian woman, so others say)

Sequoia -- this is my new favorite line

Un après midi de chien

Lancel:

www.goyard.com (very expensive; conservative)

agnes b: http://www.agnesb.com/front/europe_en.jsp

www.lamarthe.com

(and you probably know these similar ones)

Karine Dupont: (very popular, cute)

And I don't know if it's popular, but I also heard of this one.

I travel a lot and see a lot of: Balenciaga, Chloé, Chanel, Mulberry, LV, Darel, MJ, Prada and few Gucci among others, in the European cities.

I live in Denmark and here I mostly see LV, Gucci, Chloé, MJ, Mulberry and Balenciaga in the streets.

In Las Vegas (in Fashion Mall) last year I was asked about my bag I was carrying at the time, a Chloé Paddington. They didn't know it. Is Chloé not so popular in the States? saw a few in L.A. but no one in Vegas or else where on the west coast at least. (I wasnt looking for them either, so maybe I just didnt notice).

I am french, who actually live in NJ, but it is true that the french poeple prefere have is own style.
I think in France, poeple doesn't take care about what brand they wear, they just take what is nice!!!
It is better to have is own style because when I came here, everybody have the same style!!! :confused1:

i thought everybody in france use Longchamp? :confused1:

The last time I was in Nice, Saint-Tropez and Paris in France and Florence and Capri in Italy, I saw lots of beige GG-monogram Gucci bags, at least 5 bags every single day. I also spotted some women carrying Burberry Novacheck and Longchamp Le Pliage in France and a few white and beige Fendi Spy bags in Italy.

Didn't see much brown LV Monogram canvas anymore, except some Keepall and Carryall bags at the airports.

Surprisingly I have never ever seen anyone carrying LV Multicolore bags in France or Italy.

I live in Florence, Italy, considered one of the capitals of fashion and good taste (?). Based especially on the observation of which fakes are most sold on the streets, I would say that the most iconic brands here are LV monogram bags and Guccis. Sometimes I see a Hermès but not so much. Balenciaga sightings are down to maybe one every week. Most fashionable young girls seem to prefer the denim LVs and the Multicolore line, while ladies go for Gucci. I have to add that in Italy we have a lot of mid-priced mid-range bag brands, that retail for around 200-500 US Dollars, such as Nannini (www.nannini.it) or Furla (www.furla.it). If you go to www.yoox.com you will find a lot of other brands that are popular in Italy right now. Finally, there is a really cheap brand called Carpisa (www.carpisa.it) and they are also very popular for everyday bags right now. I still stick to my beloved Balenciagas :graucho:
