If you're a fan of utilitarian style, this Tom Ford treasure is for you.

I purchased the small Jennifer flap-over with the zippered strap in November 2012 (@Harrods in London).

I love the look of the zippered strap, but it does make the bag heavier (I wear it as a cross-body). The strap is well-padded though, so it is still pretty comfortable. The bag itself is sturdy, wonderfully-structured and the leather is of impeccable quality – this bag will last.

Harrods was having a 10% off sale when I purchased the bag – all I had to do was sign up for the Harrods Rewards card (it isn't a credit card; rather, a rewards program) and I received my 10% off on the spot. I also visited Harrods tax department upstairs so I could get my VAT refund processed at customs. I opted to get the refund back on my credit card, which took about 4 weeks and ended up being $298 USD.

When it was all said and done, I paid about $2300 USD after paying the import tax at DFW airport (and including the $298 VAT refund). Buy it abroad if you can!

It took me weeks of studying the pics the sellers provided and sent me and ones my girlfriend took of her bag for me to compare, but I finally found the differences and the fakers have been consistent in TWO things that are wrong! (even the "Grade A+ replica bag created to scale using an actual TF bag managed to get these two things wrong!)

If anyone has contemplated buying one off ebay (or maybe they already have!), let me know if you need help confirming whether or not its real!

I purchased a supposedly "authentic" TF original Jennifer flap over bag in desperation from a ebay seller and have realized that it is a replica after receiving it. I am in the process of filing a claim with paypal but they require a written document with letter head of a 3rd party company to prove the authenticity in order to continue the investigation, does anyone here know any place or website where can do the service of authenticate Tom Ford bags?

I hate that for you. I purchased one from MTYC a Hermes through Paypal and I had paid it through AMX. I used bababebi and he was awesome. Not sure who would do Tom Ford but I will try and help you find someone. Thank goodness I used CC on Paypal too.

BTW, I love that bag too and yes it is a little pricey. I did see somone selling it last month for $2900 or BO on ebay. The bag is hard to come by and there were two listings, but then again, I would hesitate buying on ebay as there are so many fakes out there. Sometimes the picture is not the actual product you will receive.

Thanks, for the tip, what a great price but not sure about suede or the colour? Wonder if they have other colours on sale, they say the colour is cobalt but it looks purple to me, isn't cobalt a blue? or have I been thinking of the celine luggage too much and cobalt blue?

wow are there many fakes of this bag? I thought as it's not as popular as some bags are people wont really put an effort to fake this bag.
I love that this bag is under the radar

Me too sometimes I try not to get the most popular bag or the it bag. Although I like all beautiful bags. The more it bag out there the most likely it is copied like the Celine's. Best buy from a retailer.. I would hate to spend 2k and find out I got the copy when I could of spent 900 more and got a pristine, no questions asked authentic product.
