5. Adjust the braid inside the knot if needed (to turn it a bit, for instance)

Sorry for the multiposting, but I was afraid the pix wouldn't be in the correct order.

4. Knot the 4th tail around the end of the braid.
4a. Bring the tail under the braid

Birkinmary, this is the most basic tie knot ever (kind of crooked, but who cares? It's a scarf, not a tie). I detailed it, because that how you should proceed for the forbidden knot aka *** knot aka E-D-O knot.

(does anyone understand what's wrong with that name?)

A Cheval sur mon Carre GM in red. I wasn't sure if I liked this at first. It has turned into one of my most loved scarves. Goes to show that it is not always love at first sight.
Sunny and quite cold here.

Yay! I knew I would fool everyone with my folded scarves ;) I love it when we have two in one :)

Show me when you succeed!

Ta da! So please never mind that the two scarves don't really match, nor do they match what I'm wearing lol, but I wanted to try it! Actually, I've got my other H twilly wrapped around my Evelyne and it's a bit of a to-do to re-wrap it, but I remembered that I have a substitute so I used that. Also, it wasn't quite as easy as it looked!!

Thank you again, Melora. :flowers:

I continue to be surprised and delighted (and sometimes a little embarrassed) at the realizations I have about my scarf drawer thanks to this thread. To wit: had you asked me yesterday how many multiples I had, I'd have said I have a couple patterns in different formats. Well... peering through my scarf drawer it seems that in reality I have multiple Marwari, C'est la Fete, Rencontre Oceane, L'Instruction du Roy, Les Flots du Cheval, Splendeur des Maharajas, Axis Mundi, and Magic Kelly. :shame:

I snapped a pic of the mousse duplicates because I had them out for refolding anyway. Shown here: Flots, Axis Mundi, and SdM; and an original issue Rencontre Oceane GM mousse with its silk 90cm partner (I never wear the latter, so I'm hoping for better luck with the former-- the pattern is just gorgeous).

And the Emeraude/Burgundy Flots worn in the *** knot-- when I saw Arabesques' photo last night I couldn't wait to try it out in the morning. This is by far my favorite trick I've learned for the GM mousses-- it really suits the nature of the fabric well! :smile1:

Now to page back through the zillion or so beautiful pages of this thread that I missed while traveling.... :sweatdrop:

Absolutely gorgeous! I'm dying over the emeraude/burgundy!:graucho:

]Hi scarfies!
Home again, so posting a few multiples.

First, my favorite Au Coeur de la Vie. Bought the red one (2007 version) on ebay about a year ago. Fell in love with the design, and because of the red/green CW thought it was a scarf that could be worn in Xmas holidays as well as rest of the year. Then I found out it was to be re-released in SS2014. The black/green one was the first scarf I bought at H boutique. It is still DH's favorite. Later, I just had to get the 2 BLUE Cws! (elaine, this is how it happens!)
I truly love all the details in this design.

En Avant Toute! originally designed for launch of Queen Mary 2 in 2004. In 2009, re-released with no name on the ship as part of year of travel.
After taking Qm2 transatlantic voyage last year, started my search for this scarf and my H addiction. First I found a pristine 2009 version (red/white/blue) which is easy to wardrobe and such a nautical color scheme. (2nd pic). Miraculously, an original QM2 scarf popped on ebay a few months later in the blue color way. Because it has orange in it, I haven't worn it much. I may even decide to frame it rather than wear it.

And here are my 2 Mors et Gourmettes remix. Design looks very different in the 2 CWs. I must admit the pale blue CW is my favorite!

More great scaves:graucho: I would have never guessed that the last two were both Mors
et Gourmettes!
