try to laugh with generous laughter at their lack of appreciation for such a fine fine thing. a friend recently told me about getting compliments from 2 women who had never heard of hermes before. they admired her bag for the unmistakable quality and beauty of design. that says a lot about them. your relative's (sorry, no offense... or not too much) comment says something about them too. it doesn't say anything about your bag!
Though quite rude on their part, you don't have to waste your time with those who don't know. Come here so we can appreciate your latest acquisition!
That is so rude! And in such poor taste! I'm sorry that you have such ridiculous family members. I'll never understand why people think it's ok to insult expensive purchases but not cheaper purchases. People would go up in arms if you insulted a cheap bag as being, well, cheap. There's such a double standard! Of course, I don't think it's ever acceptable to insult someone's taste to their face.
