I'd vote for the MC Speedy. I own the MC Alma (but in black) and I'm pretty casual all the time, mostly in jeans + a simple shirt. MC goes well w/ casual outfits IMO.

I agree with seahorseinstripes. I think the MC line can be worn with anything, and for some reason I find the white to be a bit more on the casual side.

My black MC speedy is my main winter bag - snow or rain, it's out there! Brass is holding up just fine!

I used it a lot since I got it. I was like you. Until I saw it I wasn't crazy about it. When I saw it in person I couldn't resist.

I have the white mc fringed speedy and I wear it with everything. Jeans, khakis, cute little eyelet skirts. Even though it's white, it just magically works with most outfits. And you feel like a million bucks when you're carrying it around!
I haven't had any problems with the fringe, but be warned the bag is somewhat heavy, even empty because of the beading and charms.

MC Speedy is my fave MC, just that it is out of my budget for now. Sigh.
