Hello, I've recently been promoted and would like to celebrate by treating myself to a watch. I've narrowed the options down to these two Balmain watches, but can't decide if I should go for the steel or the two tone. What are your thoughts?

I think it is totally up to you…do you wear both gold and silver jewelry? Do you like to mix metals? They are identical except for the color…in my opinion, the two tone is a bit busier due to that.

In my opinion, the design of the watch is very clean and simple and I agree that in SS it looks more sleek and sharp.

The SS has a cool tone. The two-tone is warmer and, in my eyes, a little dressier.
It therefore depends on wearability for your style/lifestyle etc but I think that the SS has a fresher look.

Thank you for the replies! I definitely agree the steel is sleeker and more modern, the two tone reads a bit more mature to me. My day to day watch is a steel Tag Heuer aquaracer - so I'm kind of leaning towards the two tone as I do mix metals and it would be different from my "main" watch. I'll keep the thread updated when I've decided

Sending congratulations! I agree with others here, I especially like this watch design in all stainless steel. But, I'm not a fan of two-tone watches, this is for you, not me, and I have 5 watches to meet all my needs!

Here's a better photo of the watch I chose. I didn't realise that Balmain watches are part of the Swatch group, so i feel the automatic movement and general build quality is really good for the price point. Although most of my jewellery is silver, I have a gold Gucci bangle that influenced this purchase, and I think the gold bangle goes really nicely with the two tone watch.
