The Love Letter by Jean-Honore Fragonard


I love the details of the flowers, her gown and the dog. I love her facial expression! It's almost like he wrote her something OTHER than "Roses are red . . . "

It is hard to have a favorite with so many fantastic works to choose from! A lot of the ones already pictured are on my list, but I'll add these by Alfonse Mucha and Harry Clarke.

I love pin-up art! It shows women to be sexy and sensual. It's risque but it's not lewd and crude. (Like Playboy). They're not always naked but even if they were, they weren't objectified.
