I've always been inspired by Nicole Richie (and some other celebrities) and their elegant boho look and have since embarked on a mission to collect rare vintage Chanel bags. Does anyone else do the same? As far as I can tell on this forum, it isn't such a popular thing to do. How much would you spend on an essentially used bag? (or would you not be willing to spend at all)

I wouldn't personally purchase a rare vintage Chanel bag. I would use the money to buy a current "IT" Chanel bag, to me its seems more practical.
Yes. I have some vintage Chanels. I think some of them are truely beautiful. I think it's nice that you are starting a collection. I would base how much I was going to spend on a piece by how unusual it was, how much I loved it & CONDITION!!!!
I would love to! Only I am not sure where to start looking for a reputable seller. And since I am not too eduacted on the vintage pieces, I am afriad I might buy either fake or pay too much for a not so rare piece. I think if someone who has more experience in collecting vintage chanel and start a thread to share their experience, that would be so cool!!

My bags are from the 80's and 90's and I will post a group photo soon..........along with my 2 new ones!!
I am really interested in vintage Chanel as well. It would be great if we could have a sticky in the reference section for all of our "older" bags.
