I agree completely with the Nina Ricci suggestion. Look up the mini Marche--I have one in bordeaux I adore. Some other suggestions are the Marni trunk bag and the Akris mini Ai.

The YSLs are lovely, but I think the black one needs a little oomph, and the black/gold one strikes me as strictly for evening. I'm not a fan of logos, though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

If you don't mind scouring auction and pre-loved sites, you have a ton of options at $1500. The YSL is a lovely bag, but if you want something that will hold a bit more, I suggest looking into the Gucci Jackie Soft Shoulder Bag (my newest pre-loved acquisition), Celine Trotteur and Trio, Lanvin Sugar and Jiji, Loewe Amazona, and Marni Trunk. If you prefer a chain wallet, some alternatives to the YSL are the Gucci Marmont and Miss Dior.

Ladies, my first post here and I found myself responsible to share my horrifying experience with a Marni handbag, since Marni was mentioned in this thread.

This is a triple gusset bag bought one year ago from Saks. The bag was gently used for about 10 times when its handle starts to look like in the picture. The metal film on the handle started to peel off.

I contacted Marni customer care and guess what, they refused to admit this is their quality problem and kicked me right back to the retailer Saks. Saks refused to help out either because the bag was bought just 1 year and 1 month ago so that they don't feel bad not to address the complaint at all.

Anyone has similar experience? This is totally unacceptable for a premium designer Marni to deny the quality problem without taking any action. Or am I expecting too much?

If you want a WOC, honestly I'd save and get a caviar chanel one. The organization to size ratio can't be beat. There are 5 separate compartments, no other WOC out there has that.

If you want a luxury small crossbody leather bag, I'll throw these suggestions out there [emoji12], to my knowledge all are at or below $1500:

LV epi alma
Balenciaga mini city
Gucci soho/disco
Celine trio
Givenchy woc

Dior promenade (somewhere in between a woc and a crossbody, the main compartment is quite roomy)

Dior "the classics" evening pouch with chain strap (smaller capacity, but more formal looking imo)

Chloe drew/small faye

Those are all the one's I can think of off the top of my head. the
