I am with you, I am over the YSL thing too. I was considering the YSL Lou bag but the shoulder strap was way too long even on the tightest loop; the bag also looked cheap. Instead, I have just bought the Gucci Soho as it's a classic and it's a similar price - hope I love it (just wary of the lining, I have to do my research and find a good insert).

You would think, right? Actually earlier this year it was $5200. I'm a total Chanel novice but a salesperson told me the reason the ginormous XXL is priced comparably to smaller bags is because it isn't one of their classics.

A Prada Cahier bag. I know Prada is on the decline for some people but I love the Cahier bags. Not sure which style I would get if I had the money but the one with the astrology pattern or the lion head are pretty cool. Would probably buy it second hand for a discount as I believe the lion head version is over $3000. Hefty.
